Obviously one of Ball State and Umass will survive at least one more week seeing as how they play each other, but other than that, it wouldn't surprise me if every single team from this list were eliminated this week.

RE: Teams on the Bowl Bubble
FYI, if we want the Tuscon Bowl, we need to be huge FAU fans the rest of the season. Need them to knock off MTSU in a couple weeks. Blue Raiders have 3 wins, and outside of a trip to FAU, they have home games with 0 win North Texas, and 1 win UTSA on the schedule.

UTSA over UNT imo, they stay alive for one more week

RE: Teams on the Bowl Bubble
Thanks for the post OP.

And a little more info on the CUSA race to become bowl eligible:
MTSU lost at Louisiana Tech and is currently 3-5 but still looks good for 6 wins
FIU beat ODU and is currently 4-4 and looks good for 6 wins
Rice beat Army and is currently 4-3 and looks good for 6 wins

Team Rankings agrees with you on those 3 and their bowl eligibility probabilities:
Rice 87%
MTSU 80%
FIU 80%

RE: Teams on the Bowl Bubble
Just wanted to add (I blanked out on this fact) Charlotte is enelgible from post season due to transitional rules; sitting at 2-5 on the season it was doubtful they were getting bowl eligible anyways (furthermore if conference champs Georgia southern couldn't get a waiver to be bowl eligible I HIGHLY doubt 49ers would be approved if they somehow got to 6+ wins)

Updated teams out of bowl contention:
-UCF
-charlotte
Kansas
-Wyoming
-North Texas
-EMU
-Miami (OH)
-NMSU

It would have nothing to do with a waiver. The only way Georgia Southern or App State could have gotten into a bowl last year was if there were not enough eligible teams (there were). This year, there are 80 spots, up from 76 last year. It is looking like we will come up short. If Charlotte gets to 6 wins (they won't), they will be selected before we go to teams with a losing record.

IF there are not enough bowl eligible teams, this is the criteria and order of selection:

1. Teams finishing 6-6 with one win against an FCS team that does not fund 90% of the FCS maximum of 63 scholarships. In the 2012 season, programs in four FCS conferences cannot meet the 90% requirement (56.7 equivalents)—the Ivy League, the Patriot League, the Pioneer Football League, and the Northeast Conference.

2. 6-6 teams with two wins over FCS schools.

3. Teams that finish 6-7 with loss number seven in their conference championship game (that has been eliminated by the conference championship waiver rule).

4. 6-7 teams that normally play a 13-team schedule, such as Hawaii's home opponents.

5. FBS teams who are in the final year of the two-year FBS transition process, if they have at least a 6-6 record.

6. Finally, 5-7 teams that have a top-5 Academic Progress Rate (APR) score. This was later adjusted to allow other 5-7 teams to be selected thereafter—in order of their APR.

FIU needs at least two wins and play FAU, Charlotte, Marshall, and WKU. The FAU game is a must for them. FIU-FAU could be the game that ultimately decides if the Arizona Bowl will be open for the Belt.

Yeah, that's what I've been saying. FAU beating MTSU or FIU would leave the bowl open. Problem is, no one is giving the Owls much of a chance in those games.

RE: Teams on the Bowl Bubble
I've watched a few of their games and simply put their a miserably bad team-they're giving up over 30 points a game and barely averaging 16 points. In their last win (17-7 win over the 49ers) they were outgained 200-172 yards and had 5 turnovers (charlotte turned it over 7 times...)

I'd be shocked if owls won another game this season

RE: Teams on the Bowl Bubble
Add Hawaii, UTSA and SMU on teams eliminated from bowl contention

FAU and Purdue were able to upset their opponents (fiu and Nebraska) to survive for another week
