Black will be back for the UAB game if his recovery goes well. Meanwhile, Abrams is missing his second straight season. He missed last year with an ACL tear.

I think Athlon had Illinois picked 10th in their conference.

Games we really need
To win... We all know they likely won't be very good in reality but they do carry some name brand recognition..

Yep. When the slack jawed yokels are reviewing are resume and seeing if we pass the eye test at the end of the year, it'd be excellent for them to be able to say, "well they did beat Bruce pearl and Illinois in their OOC schedule"...

That's really not what it's about. It's about not losing to the 10th place teams in these conferences. When comparing resumes and trying to figure out if the big ten should get a 9th team or cusa should get 2, games like this make a huge difference. The last thing in the world we need is losses to 3 major schools in the bottom half of their conferences.

I don't think Auburn will be in the bottom half of SEc

I would love to see us beat them and Iowa State lose to VT. ;-) I want some payback with VT.
