ESPN TV Coverage Thread
I think we need a thread devoted specifically to what times ESPN will be airing content from JMU this entire week.

The following was released by JMU:
"ESPN will also air other programming from the Quad on Friday and Saturday, beginning with live spots with Sam Ponder as early as 9 a.m. on Friday. Other set features will be filmed later Friday morning. Friday's 30-minute College Football Live program will air at 2 p.m. from the Quad with a gathering of fans welcome in the Pit area. There will be additional SportsCenter live shots Friday evening and beginning 7 a.m. Saturday leading up to the 9 a.m. airing of College GameDay."

If anyone has more specific details or wants to share what they saw just air, please do so in this thread. If you can provide links to a video, even better.

Is there any chance of anything airing prior to Friday's 9am sportscenter?

<BDK sorry, i know this is probably on jmusports.com>

I read from some of the jmusports official pages/emails that live spots with Sam Ponder will begin as early as 7AM.

RE: ESPN TV Coverage Thread
I have this in the other thread but it probably got lost in everything.

I was setting up my DVR last night I noticed that on Friday at 2pm on ESPNU there is CFB Daily, Episode 9 - "The Edge". On Thursday there is also CFB Daily on ESPNU at 2pm but there is no episode title.

Does anyone know if the episode title is a coincidence or if this will be a JMU feature?

Pretty cool hype commercial during halftime of last night's #FunBelt action. Seriously this whole week is turning into a bigger commercial for JMU than anything anybody else could come up with in five years. So cool.

Uneducated numbers.

Friday Morning pre-SC with Sam Ponder: 10 mins live from JMU
Friday Morning SC: 10 mins live from JMU (my best guess is the other 30 mins of airtime is highlights)
Friday College Football Live: 20 mins live from JMU
Saturday College Gameday: 45 minutes live from JMU

So let's say 1.5 hours of airtime of JMU's campus. $$$$$$$

Does anybody have a video of it? Didn't get a chance to see it.

This might be the best thing ever written...

http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...nd-spiders

However, if he thinks the Spider is the worst mascot he's ever seen...maybe GMCC was eliminated before he saw that atrocity at the A-10 tourney.

Not sure I understand only 45 minutes for Saturday

I haven't watched a College Gameday the full 3 hours, but I'm pretty sure it'll be more than 45 minutes live.

RE: ESPN TV Coverage Thread
I haven't watched in a while but 3 hours is closer to 2 after an hour of fanduel commercials. Then a solid half that time is showing highlights, box scores or random stats such as most wins by a home team the weekend before Halloween. I won't put money on it cause I have never watched an entire gameday but just my thoughts.

Except I just realized college football live was only a 30 minute show so there won't be 20 mins of JMU screen time.

The list just released by JMU has a good breakdown of what are the key airings on Fridays and Saturdays. I don't have enough space to record every sportscenter and many late at night and late mornings are repeats.

Here it is, the main things to record:
--Friday – SportsCenter at 9 a.m.

--Friday – College Football Live at 2 p.m.

--Saturday – Live SportsCenter Look-Ins begin around 7 a.m.

--Saturday – College GameDay Live at 9 a.m.

I saw a story/fact sheet somewhere on the boards but I'm recording the 9am SC, CFB Live and then 7-12 on Saturday.

HOWEVER Lindsay Czarniak tweeted last hour that she would respond to Mcshay Friday night on SC sooo I guess I need to add that to the DVR too

The great thing about ESPN is that their segments end up online quickly. Even if we miss something, it is up within 24 hours and tagged to jmu's team page.

Some of the game day guys like to hit up local bars. If anyone spots them, let us know.

ESPN is going to Jack Browns today to film. I'm sure the word will get around and the main guys will make a stop there or Billy Jacks.
