there were three of us...all amigos....the other two guys were from PDX...I worked remote from the 'burg.....we had a driver that told us what to do....I did get a wild hair and drunk stumble down the 9 streets of the revolución....it got more expensive as the number increased....I had to do it just to see what it was like.....it was vaguely memorable....

just north is rosarita.....it's their san diego.....it was pretty much work, hotel, rosarita, hotel, hookers/gamble, repeat....15 trips was just the right amount of play at that time in my life....

This is true. One time I was heading to Dallas to watch a 'boys game and in the bus this girl got stupid drunk. She sat next to this guy that she just had met and practically wanted to rape the guy on the bus. She was pawing the crap out of the guy and he looked like he liked the action but was embarrassed at the same time. She puked on the bus and they had to stop to clean it. It was funny and sad at the same time.

I just think its unfair the one time I've had sex outside of a relationship I was blacked out and initiated nothing according to everyone else there but if I felt the need or wanted to (which I don't, gal actually turned out to be a good friend, just not the datable type, and I gave her a fair shot) I wouldn't really be able to diddly squat where as vice versa that'd be jail time, sex offenders list, etc etc.

As far back as ~2000 I heard from three different people who worked in the college admissions "business" -- at the Univ. of Florida, Emory, and Georgia State, respectively -- that the national undergraduate ratio was going to tip heavily in the favor of female applicants, and would probably stabilize at about 65/35 unless some sort of "boost" was given to male applicants. Those 3 people were definitely speculating about then-future trends, and I don't work in that field anyway, so I didn't have the chance to follow up on that. But hearing one of them mention the 65/35 ratio (and the other 2 immediately agreeing with it; one of them said "Maybe more than that") quite honestly shocked me and I've never forgotten that.

About 3 years ago I learned that Davidson College in N.C. was giving affirmative-action type preferences to male applicants for undergraduate admissions. Unclear to what extent, and how many applicants were involved, but it was definitely happening. I'd be curious to know if other universities are doing the same thing. I've heard that William & Mary either was, or was considering it, but haven't been able to confirm that one way or the other.

I'm not even saying that this is necessarily a "problem" or something "bad". Just an interesting trend that explains a lot about where we are headed as a society.
