The Broncos are currently favored over Miami by 24.5. I don't think they will cover that spread. I was thinking more like:

Broncos 42
Miami 21

56-10

Miami has no QB. Western will have the ball a lot because Miami can't generate an offense

25 points is generous....for Miami

First homecoming game I've missed since I started at WMU in 1999. Hope it's a blowout and we can continue to build confidence and chemistry as a team. However, we can't overlook these guys.

NIU historically scores Quick. They either can't move the ball, or they do so rather swiftly when playing lesser competition.

24.5 seems normal for what we "should" win by, given by Miami "should" perform, and how we "should" perform.

Look at it this way...

Miami is averaging 10 pts. per game in MAC play.

They were only able to muster 3 pts. against an Ohio team that we dropped 49 on.

I think their defense isn't actually as terrible as we think it is, but it's still bad. I'll predict we win something like 41-13.

Asantay Brown is coming into his own. Let's hold them to 3 or less.

I think if we hold them to 13 pts, that will be a good sign for our D. Our D proved well in the Ohio game. Ohio doesn't have a strong O, but it showed signs of improvement on our D.

Miami-OH obviously doesn't have a great O at all -- but how well we contain them makes the game very important to watch, to see the progression of our D as the season rolls before the big 3 games.
