All hope is lost. Time to wave the white flag. If tubs is going to give up, punt and not use timeouts against BYU then it's time to recognize that UC would be better off shutting down the football program and investing it's resources 100% into building a seed bank for the coming apocalypse.

I fear we have suffered a fate worse than being "Kragthorped" or "Beckman-ed" or "Zookered." We have been Wannstedet-ed. We will be mired in mediocrity for years with coaches that dont bring out the best in rosters that will probably still be talented and stocked with good recruits.
Remember those idiot Texas Tech fans. Well one actually made a good point two weeks ago. On their scout site after we beat Miami FL, he said "Poor bastards...now they're stuck with Tubs even longer."

My fear is the inevitable 3 year extension that will show up before NSD in January after we win some garbage bowl against the Sunbelt or C-USA.

RE: depression, apathy
The really sad thing is that normally I would be super pumped for next year. Gunner and Hayden will probably both be back and we'll have on paper a talented and more experienced two deep on defense. However I've learned not to get my hopes up with this staff. we shouldn't have to settle for a 7 and 5 or 6 and 6 season. The staff needs to figure it out. our roster still has an advantage over nearly every team left on schedule, al though we may be at a co aching disadvantage against Houston . i want to see a 9 and 3 or 8 and 4 finish and a bowl win. But I'm not holding my breath

2 deep on D is 50% guys playing for the first time in college. Did we do this when Butch went 4-8? BTW Hayden Moore held that ball way too long at BYU. He needs to run if he does not see guys open. Quit taking sacks. We were dogs at Memphis and BYU. Houston, ECU, USF are every bit as talented up and down the roster as UC is. We have an offensive advantage over UConn, who is decent.

Nor will I. Went to PJB, Orange, Sugar, Liberty, Belk, Belk, Military but will not go to this years Toilet Bowl (aka Birmingham, Boca, Miami, etc.)

RE: depression, apathy
If we play UK in B'ham, that would be a good game and a good reason to attend. Yes, this year has started as a disappointment, but this is a very exciting offense to watch, assuming the offensive line can protect the QB. It turns out that UC had a very difficult schedule this year. At Memphis, at BYU, at Houston and at ECU are all difficult games. UC's schedule is likely stronger than OSU's, except for Michigan State and Michigan.

I've been to 10 and will not make #11 this year...perhaps if it's the Military Bowl again or some unforeseen swap if the coaches start to show some grit consistently. This current bowl lineup blows.

Depressed? Apathetic? Not quite. For me, I've gone thru the following stages: disappointment, pissed off anger and now humor.

Hayden calmly goes through his progressions when facing a blitz. While I admire the balls of that, it's not effective. He needs to find the hot route and get rid of the ball. That comes with experience. He's a kid.

Pencil me in for all of the above. As for apathy, the athletics department can stop counting on my donations. I'm done until this clown is gone

I'm sorry that they levy such a heavy tariff on the students for this garbage. Our offensive talent is immense. Rocky Long always has toughness on his side. Tuberville plays golf.
