Where they've wanted to go since starting the program - The Big Ea . . . American Athletic Conference.

Kennesaw's Club and their DI program aren't connected. They started the club team before announcing their DI team and hiring a coach.

They announced the first year of Kennesaw's football team would play their first year against club level teams before their first year of full football. That is what I am talking about.

They can join Arkansas Tech, Lamar, North Dakota State, Liberty, James Madison, Cal State-San Diego, and Jacksonville State and petition the NCAA for a new FBS conference.01-wingedeagle 02-13-banana 04-cheers

Uhh...David, in terms of on field performance, the two are not related. Level of competition is oh, about 250 million times higher.

Schools use club programs to test potential fan interest in starting a sport. They didn't start it to have some sort of talent pool on campus to begin with. South didn't bring any of its club players over, they recruited an entirely new team when play started.

Okay, my bad. It was a JV team for 2014. Usually schools that adds or re-starts football plays JV schedule the year before the official start. The JV teams usually play club teams.

Kennesaw State actually isn't a geographic stretch for the OVC - Kennesaw is 3 miles closer to Nashville than Jacksonville, Alabama.

Their wins came against an NAIA school, a D2 school, a reduced-scholarship FCS school and winless Furman. Not exactly a constellation of football stars there.

KSU might fit well in the SoCon, too.

Perhaps if they could swap UNCG with the ASun.

The Sun Belt is not the same conference that it was in the past, which was one that had to add to survive. If the conference is to add any new members it will be to improve the conference.

And within the current footprint. Unless they get raided the SBC will not be adding teams from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri or even Kansas (sorry Wichita)
