Usually 2 a year.

This year, they've done 2 in the same day twice.

FIFY.

Also, 2 BoA exhibitions (one a super regional) and Disney World.

They'll have gotten in front of a couple of thousand high school band kids before marching season's over.

What day/time are they playing the Atlanta regional?

Sadly, October 3. They'll be in Indianapolis this weekend. Another thousand kids in the midwest.

Where in that city will UAB be competing? My grandson lives in Fishers and perhaps my son can take him.

Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Colts play.

UAB isn't competing. They're an exhibition band. The high school bands are competing. They're playing Saturday night.

These are some odd pairings in this bracket. I never knew Faulkner had a marching band.

Well, crap...hate that I missed them. Still, having experienced BOA in Indy myself, it'll be a lot more than a thousand people, and they're ALL band people. It will probably be the most appreciative crowd UAB's band has ever had.

Hopefully someone will get some high quality video of the performance and get it uploaded to YouTube. There are comparatively few videos of UAB's band performances, especially in front of band crowds as opposed to football crowds.

I can tell you as a high school band director that Troy is not turning very good band directors right now. I have seen the work of several lately and it ain't good. Troy has problems.

Down in Dothan, I talked to a Troy guy who was a band director at some school in the wiregrass, and told him UAB and Troy both played at Spain Park. He said, "I bet that was embarrassing" for Troy.

You're right. Something ain't right in Pike County (I mean, besides the usual stuff).
