I never understood that. Vaught Hemingway ain't all that except for that one end zone section. It's basically a high school stadium when you take out that part.

There is still no compelling reason to play them, and when we get into another conference, there will be NO reason. I would much rather play another team from any of the big conferences, Big XII or Pac 12.

But I would much rather play Arkansas or Tennessee, if we HAVE to play an SEC team.

Winning or having a viable threat to win in the future is the key for us wanting to keep the series. Under those conditions, OM will likely pull the plug IMO because it will not serve their interest. They do not play us out of charity.

Move on to more national games. I would try to schedule more B12 teams.

What are you talking about.

IF (big if) Memphis runs the table and IF (OM plays better in SEC games) the primary reason Memphis gets into the playoffs or (to a lesser degree) a G5 bid will be due to the win over OM.

Replace that OM win with one vs. Arky State or MTSU and Memphis might still be on the outside of the t25 in the AP poll.

Honestly we should be happy that Ole Miss is playing us home and home...

With all the new rules and mandates about playing P5 schools out of conference us getting a home and home with a P5 not being in the P5 is a good thing. If they want to continue to play I say let's keep playing them.

I agree. The circumstances of this one specific game against the bears did help with our boost in the polls, etc...but it was just this one game. No guarantee the circumstances will be the same for the next meeting plus we will NEVER be considered for membership in the sec. We do have a very legitimate shot at B12 inclusion. What would be a guarantee with scheduling B12 teams is opportunities for more high ranking dialog with B12 members, more exposure in B12 markets, more PR opportunities in B12 territory, etc...
