Because it's usually 4 or 5 upsets in the ranks, with 2 or 3 falling out.
This weekend, with all the road games, key match ups, trap games, it wouldn't surprise me if twice as many get beaten and fall out with an influx of new 2-loss teams in the polls next Sunday.
Maybe you're right, but I have a feeling this will be a week to remember. I think the undefeated and 1 loss herd will be thinned considerably.

Well by that logic you are saying many of the schools ranked, should not be ranked, correct?

Rutgers will win. Should have beaten MSU earlier. OSU is garbage.

Really? I've seen them recently.

Certainly not the Top 10 turnover I was expecting.
Congrats to Toledo, Temple, Houston, and Memphis!! Figured 3/4 would stumble yesterday, along with a couple more of the Top 10.
Onward to Week 9!

In Week 8, favorites won 45 times, underdogs 10. Half of the underdog wins the spread was 3.5 or less.

Last week it was 40-15, with 7 of the upsets being with a spread of 3.5 or less.

All in all, I'd say the bookies are doing a great job so far.

Idaho won their 3rd game on the season. 3 more wins, they will be bowl eligible.

I think you guys were thinking of D2. Several top 10 schools lost in D2 play.
