QB- B+

If Drew is hurt it's not affecting the zip he's putting on the ball. He was zipping it and had some great touch on deep balls. If one minor issue...he wasn't extremely accurate on intermediate throws.

RB- A

ACRB DO ACRB. Love the Huff rotation. Cool to see some burst from Jones.

WR- D

Way too many drops...that was pretty bad. This group plays a little more consistent today and we score 60+.

OL- B

This group has rebounded nicely huh?

DL- B

Got some good pressure at times. Ford makes a difference. Good to see Flemming get a sack.

LB- B+

Continues to be the strong point of our squad. 7 deep and they all can ball.

DB- C+

Gotta see more consistency out of this group. Lurry has no middle gear...toast or int. Logan...we need to give his minutes up at this point. Liked Elijah Cambell at safety.

ST- F-

Horrible punt from Ambrose. Crappy fg attempt from Hagan. Duecee and the lack of awareness from punt return. This is going to keep us from winning games. Figure it out.

Coaching- B

Like the aggressiveness they brought today. Up tempo early was a smart move to get rid of any flatness. Play calling seems to be pretty dialed in now. Really like the 4 wr sets. Canada, Duecee, TLL and Kenny is a handful...if they catch the ball.

I thought Hare was very good. He missed two throws that I recall: one over the top to Tommylee which would have been a TD and one across the middle to Desroy which would have been a first down. Otherwise he was right on. The numerous drops made it seem worse than it was. Hare is making good decisions and playing at a high level right now.

Regarding the Coaching, when we were up 21-0, going for it on 4th & 4 at the Miami 41 was not a good move. And, that's putting it mildly.

+1

We also went for it on 4th & 2 on our 40 something.
We made it but it just seemed cocky.
Make them go 80 yards. Not 40.

I'm already experiencing visions of a 7-5 season capped off with a bowl game against Middle Tennesee. Toledo, Ohio, and WMU definitely concern me with how inconsistent NIU has been playing. One week it's our QB, another our offensive line can't block or racks up penalties, then special teams sucks. I don't mean to complain about a win, but it seems every game there's always a glaring issue. I'm afraid when we stop playing this string of bottom feeders it will get ugly.

Perhaps we can put together a complete game in all phases and ruin Toledo's season!

It's unfortunate we are looking to ruin Toledo's season. We should have been in position to better our chances at the access bowl. Our schedule doesn't look too promising for next year. We do have consistency issues on offense but hopefully that will be squared away so we can have a magical season next year.

Apparently, according to the announcers, they saw him on the field the entire first half! *smfh*

Huh? NIU is in position to win the MAC this year.

Beebe was out with the mumps, hopefully he will be back soon. Overall, I thought the play calling was decent, I just dont like how conservative we can be at times. Going into halftime, ball at our own 35 or so, 40 seconds left, 2 timeouts. Why not try a few deep passes with your tall receivers and get a quick 3 or even another TD!!!

See you Saturday!

04-cheers
