Looking Down the Road...
What a challenge. UT will be playing the top 4 MAC teams, aside from itself, the final 4 weeks in a row! Northern Illinois is well, Norther Illinois. They still have a stout defense. Bowling Green is scoring a million points a game. UT will not be able to afford to stutter on Offense against the Falcons. Although November weather could be an ally against the gun slinging pigeons. The surprise team is Central Michigan. They have picked up momentum and are stomping people. Western Michigan may have the best QB, WR, RB combo in the league.

WMU had THREE 100 yard rushers today. OK, one guy only had like, 95, but that's frightening. We think we have a lot of depth at RB.

Today's results:

Kent 15 - UMass 10
NIU 45 - Miami 12
Central 51 - Buffalo 14
Team down south 59 - Akron 10
Western 49 - Ohio 14

So, UMass now looks less impressive to me. NIU's win over Miami is about on par with our win over Eastern. Central kept Buffalo winless in the MAC. I would think Akron is better than Miami and probably EMU. Western probably had the most impressive win of the day against the #2 team in the East.

The gauntlet goes down for the Rockets in November, no question. I'm glad coach turned the offense loose today because we're going to need to score points in November. Unofficially, Hunt still needs 741 yards to make his thousand, so if he wants to go ahead and do that in November that would be fine.
