Quote:The magic Ole Miss had at Alabama — and despite Alabama's five turnovers, the Rebels looked very much like the better team that night — is gone. Two weeks later, they got handled at Florida 38-10. And now their world is turned upside down having lost to Memphis, a school their effete, mint julep-sipping fan base looks down on like a community college for people who can’t get into Ole Miss.

If that doesn't make you hate Ole Miss, nothing will.

I had totally blocked that 47-3 loss to Arkansas State out of my memory. That loss may have been the tipping point for Tiger football. In a roundabout way, Hugh Freeze was a sort of impetus for the turnaround.

I just now saw this.

Honored and humbled that you'd mentioned that BamaScorpio......greatly appreciated as are all of the kind remarks regarding Memphis' good season thus far.

Lots of good folks over here...........Hi All

OldTiger, this old eagle enjoyed many battles between the Eagles and Tigers. Very happy for you and your fan base on your football team. Hope it plays out as an undefeated season and you guys get the big bowl game.

Exactly, if there's one school that I miss that I don't regret seeing getting the AAC chance, it was Memphis. And if there was any team that I was happy seeing beating the stuffing out of Ole Piss (other than all other teams) it had to be the Tiggers.

I rooted for them vs. OP when they played as a C-USA member, and it don't change now.
