About 4 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. MTSU up 21-16

Whoever came up with the uniform combinations today messed up. It may be easier to see in person but on TV I can't tell who's who most of the time

MTSU scores. They're up 28-16 now. Almost halftime.

For whatever reason, our coaches decided to forego running the football in the first half of the season.

They finally decided to use the running backs after losing our first string and second string guy. We lost the third string guy in the first quarter. So far our 4th and 5th string running backs have combined for 104 yards rushing and four touchdowns.

dahbeed will like that since he knows what a running back factory we have!

No one bothered Apollo because even if this team wins today this is a lost season. Most have checked out. Only one of the teams goals is realistically within reach and frankly most of us could care less if we go 6-6 so the Athletic Dept can promote another "bowl eligible" season as if we've finally arrived (which is precisely what they do)

Herrod and Mathers are probably the most heralded of the seven horsemen, good for the rest of the conference that neither will see the field this year. We probably would have run for 300+ at Bama if we had them.

I think muts gets 7 wins and and rescues the season with #8 in a bowl game

That makes no sense. You could still possibly finish 8-4 and 7-1 in conference. You might not, but it's possible. This conference needs a successful MTSU. I think the only game the rest of the way that's a likely loss is Tech, so 7-5 is still very possible, but knowing us we'll beat Marshall to keep 7-5 possible and then turn around and lose to FAU.

Looks like MTSU is gonna hold on against FIU. FIU tried to drive for the tie with a minute to go but failed. 42-34 MTSU

Good win MTSU, you defense front 7 was determined today.

Given the low morale among the MTSU faithful, what was attendance like today? The weather was perfect for football but I imagine the early start had a little bit of an affect.

Horrible. 13227 announced, probably around half that in the stands. People are angry and disappointed.

It was not much easier in person. I chalk up the bad pick on the first drive from Stockstill as a uniform issue. It was right at the FIU player so, at least in my mind, he hit the guy he was aiming at. The unis were far too much alike.
