Bobcats have 3 starting line backers on sidelines with injuries, top CB ejected for questionable targeting call, WMU scores TD with fantastic catch by Braverman on next play. Broncos up 7-0, 3:33 left in Q2.

Ohio goes to their 2 minute offense while the Bronco defense thinks about the locker room too early = Easy, quick TD.

There is no way that an honest person would call that targeting call questionable.
It was text book.
QB was already going down with a defender wrapped around him. The CB lines up, squats, and then just before he moves forward he he takes the time to lower his head and then springs up and forward with the crown of his helmet.
You are not going to find anyone that sees that replay, agree with your assessment.
(homers excluded).

I am honest, and I'll find plenty of people who are not Ohio fans who agree. It was bad tackling form, no doubt about it, but the QB lowered his helmet into the DB's, it takes 2 to do that tango. It's not what the spirit of a targeting call is supposed to be about.

The QB was already going down from two other defenders. One of whom was wrapped around him.
I thought the same way as you last year during the Purdue game when our FS was ejected. When I watched it on replay the next day and with a calmer mind, I had to agree with the call.

Yes, his body was going down, he was starting to be taken down. The head will, too. Big problem is the OU guy Targetted. He saw that and lowered his helmet to match. That was the big problem.
