Pretty good showing for A-Sun Baseball
NY Mets beat the LA Dodgers 3-2 to win NLDS. The Mets' Daniel Murphy (Jacksonville alum, former A-Sun player of the year) goes 3 for 4, 2-run HR, 2 RBI's and scores the other Mets run; Jacob Degrom (Stetson alum) is the Mets winning pitcher; 6IP, 2ER, 7K.
FYI. Counting these guys and of course all-star Chris Sale (and others), it was a pretty good baseball league, if nothing else.

2016 update to the previous post. Indians starter Corey Kluber pitched for Stetson, and the baseball Bucs beat him at Cardinal Park back in 2006. Matt Traylor hit a grand slam and a bunch of other Bucs did 7 runs worth of damage to him. He shut us down the next year down there, though.
The travel was tough, but ASun baseball was that league's bright spot. FYI

Almost forgot. There is another ETSU Bucs-Cleveland Indians connection. Indians catcher Yan Gomes, who played at UT against us, is Atlee Hammaker's son-in-law. FYI
