A very good article and a good list of the reasons a threatened BOT would try to terminate UAB football. It is part and parcel of the state's leadership's century long effort to at least hobble anything that might mean advancement of the city and its metro area. EX: Name any interstate whose last link to be completed was NOT in the metro B'ham area (we still await the "future I-22"). What the system BOT has done to UAB, it has done to its metro area with the complicity of the state's political leadership.
