Texas Medical Center Day @ Rice vs Army
At work today I saw that BCM employees can get discounted tickets to the Rice vs Army game. Looks like it is a promotion for all TMC employees.

We should have a fly over by the Confederate Air Force

Can we fly a drone/blimp over our own campus advertising the game this week?

People in the Med Center would probably see it

I like the fly-over idea, but we need people to know about the game long before the game.

Maybe the MOB can play a salute to the Armed Forces? It's a new idea, but it might work.

Of course, you poking fun at me for playing the tune Salute to the Armed Forces in every pregame, right?

Well played, sir! Well played. 02-13-banana

I personally love it. I just there were more people in the stands to appreciate it. Hopefully there will be for the Army-West Point game.

this smacks of RU owl's input - he has long been an advocate of soliciting the medical center folks for support/tickets etc. Makes sense.

Very cool. They are also doing the free tickets for local veterans again. I received the email to donate awhile back I think.

Yes, vets get in free. I donated 10 tickets. (That's military, not Ags.)

I anticipate a big turnout for the Army game, even though it's an early start.

or break out the 1980 halftime show the MOB did at Texas A&M that got a standing ovation IIRC

Not bad considering we won the game (and I think were ahead at the half) and it was the first mob trip to College Station since the Reveille-food truck debacle at Rice (circa 1973?)

quickly undone by the Corps of Cadet performance at Rice in 1981.

We should hand them out in the Med Center....

Wear them to a game and you get in free for the rest of the year
