Naw, he loves the game. Had things not gone a little south at South Carolina he would still be there for several more years. I believe that.

Got all respect in world for Synder. Wasn't he kind of begged to come back because they got rid of a coach? Thought I read he tried to retire and actually did, but K-State asked him to come back?


I've followed Gamecock football since the ACC days when Dickie Harris was a star DB. It's been tough to watch this season (actually, last two seasons the team hasn't looked 'coached').

Sometimes I think you just get to point it's time to go, and I think Spurrier realized that. I'm a fan, though.
