AAC Excitement Continues
I've said this before, but BYU v. AAC matchups do not disappoint:
BYU 45, ECU 38
BYU 30, UConn 13 (tied at 10-10 in the 4th)
Memphis 55, BYU 48 (2OT)
UCF 31, BYU 24 (OT)
BYU 33, Houston 25
BYU 35, UConn 10 (only uncompetitive matchup)
BYU 47, Houston 46
BYU 24, UCF 17 (not technically a BYU-AAC matchup at the time, but still)
I expect this week's BYU-Cincinnati matchup to provide some more exciting football!

I remember before the Miami Bowl brawl. All AAC fans desired BYU as part of the conference.

I'd still consider adding them if they'd join. Most of our conference is competitive with BYU and we can work on the saturday thing...maybe as a football/basketball only member?

BYU is outside of the footprint but their Football and Basketball talent and support makes them a home run if they ever wanted o join.

If BYU wants to be a FB only in the west, I'm sure it can be arranged. I doubt that interests them however.

I'd love for this to happen, but it needs to be a 9 conference game schedule.
2 P5, 1 G5 warmup.

IF, Air Force joins the AAC, the Army Navy game becomes less atractive... Keeping Air Force away from joining a league with Navy in it is more appealing... Or in other words, the must see Army Navy sexy game isn't effected by a new member who could potentially overtake Army's spot vs Navy.
I would go with BYU and Colorado St. for the AAC West, IMO.

I don't see it.
Air Force and Navy play every year anyway. It's already a CIC game. Making it a conference game won't detract from Army-Navy.

I was pulling for BYU to the AAC. However, at this point, it looks like it won't be an option for some time. And, I'm disappointed that we only have one AAC opponent in 2016 (at Cincinnati) and one in 2017 (at ECU). And then no AAC until the 2021 game at USF. Hopefully, we get some new series going in 2018 and on.

I love that BYU schedules the American so much. There have been a lot of very exciting games...

I'm not going to lie, these AAC BYU games are pretty exciting with some drama on top... However, no schedule games between AAC BYU after 2017 up till 2021 find it quite interesting.
Unless of course BYU's goal is to schedule top football programs (Texas Alabama LSU USC Michigan Ohio St.) from the high revenue conferences only than that makes total sense $$$.

What I see is that BYU scheduled UMass, NIU, and Toledo where I thought they could have scheduled AAC opponents.
I do know that BYU has pretty decent alumni and fan bases in the Midwest and Northeast that they are trying to consistently reach - too bad Cincinnati, UConn, and Temple weren't (re)scheduled to compliment the future series with Michigan St., Wisconsin, and the 'neutral-site' game against WVU in Maryland.
