. . . without looking at the list, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that TX ST didn't make the cut . .. .

Troy with the #1 red zone offense in the nation!

Troy defense is #63 up from #110 last season despite playing three Top 25 teams. We've played five games so far.

We have probably played the hardest first 5 games in the conference too.

I'm curious to see how well the Troy Defense plays in SBC conference play. That's quite a feat for having played three Top 25 teams.

Troy's defense is good. I have to give them credit. They made some key adjustments at halftime against us and Miss State. Troy should make some noise once the offense comes around, just a matter of time.

Troy plays Idaho and NMSU next. This is a great time to get the offense rolling. They are both averaging 47 points per game on defense. Only North Texas (LOL) and Texas State (dead last) are worse nationally.

Their schedule for the first 5 games was a bit tougher... Although our defensive numbers look better than theirs

NC St is 69th in total offense
Wisconsin is 67th
USA is 90th
Miss St is 50th
FCS let's call it 128th

That's not exactly a murder's row of offenses. In fact that average is 81st and Idaho for comparison is 74th, so I wouldn't expect to see much relief against the Vandals, especially if we get our starting QB (12th nationally in completion %) and 2nd WR back from injury. On defense we are a complete mess though. We had 19 defensive players and 6 DB's available to play at Ark St and we just moved a TE to LB. Hopefully the bye week will help get us healthy and if we do I think we at least cover the 12 point spread. Should be a fun game to watch though.

I'm really pulling for Idaho to put a game together against a reputable team (other than App). You all have the offense to hang with anyone, but it's going to take the defense stepping up and holding serve for the offense to gain some separation on the scoreboard.

I would imagine your numbers would look a little better against a little easier schedule. You both have tough schedules so far but ULM was brutal

Ya luckily next years scheduled is super nice... Austin peay, Umass, Southern Miss and Clemson

This year was tough but Wisconsin was our only money game... NCSU is part of the 1 for 1 deal and Miss State was the last game of the 2 for 1

Where is UL on that list? Never mind. I don't want to know.
If we dont get our offensive issues sorted out, the trip to Boone will be rough.

You've still got a month and a half until you need to worry about that. ULL is a tough nut to crack however. Is the team as bad as the one that lost to Akron, or as good as the one who showed up against Texas State?

Probably somewhere in between
