RE: WKU is Ranked 33rd in the AP Poll
The two UAB players have been a great asset to WKU defense, and the biggest difference between WKU this year and last year.

How the heck is is Houston ranked 24th?? To me, they haven't beaten any world beaters and one of their wins is against an FCS. Any cusa team 5-0 like that would most likely not be ranked. What gives??

Marshall D will slow WKU O down for sure then it comes to my question: will the one half decent Marshall O be able to score enough point against the actually decent WKU D?

FIFY! I'm not going to lie, Morris and McCollum have been great adds to our defense, especially McCollum. But to think they are the main reason our D is playing better is just nonsense! 01-wingedeagle01-wingedeagle

lol I was hoping to lure YG or 518 in with that comment instead I got you :) haha

I'm not the type to say...told you so but if we were to go back to the preseason what exactly was it that I said about Western's defense?

I will make a exception this one time.....

Western's defense should improve 10 to 15 % on getting off the field on 3rd and 4th down and limit the numbers of big plays. Doing this will be 7 to 14 points difference from last year.

What were the reasons I gave? Below are those reasons...reasons some Tech fans (most likely you were one) and most Marshall fans took as nonsense and as bragging.

Western had a very young defense last year and with another year of grown and added depth at the 2 deep and with the addition of 2 UAB players ...

I expect to see a 15% increase on getting off the field...right now it's at 17% and 16 ppg less

It wasn't bragging it was using common sense...now do you need this weeks power ball numbers ?03-lmfao

You were also saying Driskel was a washed-up SEC hack03-lmfao

he was I just didn't realize how weak some of the CUSA teams would be...05-stirthepot

he's doing better than I thought...easily 2nd best in the conference

While those 2 players have been really good, to me a huge difference this season from last is creating turnovers...Number 1 in the nation in Turnover margin will win you a lot of games...

If WKU beats the #5 team in the country with the best Running Back in a generation then they will play in the Peach as a 1 loss team period.

Fournette is also running behind one the best OL in the country.

Will WKU get blown-out or will it be a competitive game? LSU is heck a lot better and more physical than Indiana

WKU will be competitive against LSU if WKU plays all out. I think WKU will play vanilla to protect their players. Winning CUSA is more important.

RE: WKU is Ranked 33rd in the AP Poll
WKU is having a great year and they should be very proud. but there is no such thing as a #33 ranking in the AP poll. it stops at #25. this is precisely the same mistake that marshall fans made in 2013 when they thought that there was such a thing as a BCS ranking past 25.

the whole thing breaks down after you exceed it's designed upper limit.

The two goals aren't mutually incompatible. The heart of a champion wants to win every week. Not just against the "little guys".

I believe you recommended similar guidance to LA Tech this weekend against MSU. Huge mistake. Most coaches will tell you the minute you quit going "all out" is when your begin to suffer injuries. Just play the game, and play it to your best.

There is no proof that a injury is more likely vs a top 10 school than a fcs school...

no way Western goes into this game protecting players....NO COACH worth a pay check goes into any game not to win it.

If BD goes down, WKU may not win another game this season. LSU D is nasty.

Lack of sportsmanship? He has called off the dogs at halftime the past three games and that includes a game which WKU fans was begging for more against MT.

Agreed. Could have beaten Middle by 90

Could have put 80 up last night as well. If you think Brohm is running it up, you are nuts. Could have scored 70+ 4 games in a row. That will probably change next Sat., but it will be fun to see our offense against their D, and not so fun to see their offense against our D.

The swing and screen pass won't be a given against LSU. That's about 50% of WKU offense, the other 25% of Higbee (huge loss for WKU) across the middle is gone now. And LSU is going to limited WKU time on the field by running the ball. I'm pulling for WKU but I just don't see it happening.

I love how La. Tech fans are lecturing us on what we can or cannot do vs. LSU and to the tee what our offense can do or does not?...How much have you watched of WKU since we beat you guys?...Shouldn't you be worried about your own game tomorrow night at Miss. St? WHo said it was happening us beating LSU? Some on here are obsessed with WKU...

Well, guess WKU fans will either be even more obnoxious if they happen to beat LSU...

or they will be depressed following a major beatdown. Not sure which I want.

Why would we be depressed? Who is expecting us to A. go in there and win and B. a very close game......Do I hope we are competitive? of course, but its LSU just like MTSU got a "moral victory" only losing to Bama 35 to 7, otherwise everyone expects LSU to take care of business against us.....Only reason for depression would be if BD gets injured and out for the season, that would equal depression.......

True. Against good teams, one dimensional hurry-up spread offenses only work if the defense is stout and has depth. As Tech fans we know that all too well from the 2012 team.
