RE: Polls- week 7
So, this week, SportsCenter only tweets out the AP top 10.

Why not tweet out the top 11, like SportsCenter did last week? Because this week's #11 isn't an SEC team.

Yeah, I made the point that I thought they would do the same for Michigan but they didn't. They should have tweeted through #12 in order to cover themselves.

8 G5 schools in the top 40. I am surprise that Georgia Southern have not shown up yet. At 4-1 and the best record in the Sun belt right now.

They still don't deserve to be in the top 10.

They havn't lost, I don't think they deserve to drop out of the top 10. Maybe be ranked tenth, but without actually losing I cant see hitting them that hard. The name of the game is to win, there aren't grades based upon how much you win by.

RE: Polls- week 7
so looking right now... have 12 undefeated p5 teams. In AP poll- top 9 are undefeated, then Florida St is 11, Oklahoma St is 16, and Iowa is 17.

for the 1 loss teams- top 5 of those are Alabama, Michigan, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, and Stanford

HUGE weekend coming up in Big Ten and SEC...
In Big Ten- the 6 0-1 loss teams all play each other. Ohio St/Penn St, Michigan St/Michigan, and Iowa/Northwestern. Will be a defining weekend for sure....
SEC- 4 of the 6 0-1 loss teams play each other. Florida/LSU and Texas A&M/Alabama.

Also in the Pac 12, Utah has what I feel may be their toughest game left just about(one of 2)- with Arizona St. The last 6 teams on their schedule are only 4-10 in conference play so far.

Big 12- would say that Baylor has the team that beat them last year- West Virginia. It'll be interesting to see this game for sure.

RE: Polls- week 7
Fun facts re the AP poll (source is this Wikipedia page):

This week's #1 Ohio State now holds the record for most weeks all-time at #1, with 102. Oklahoma has been #1 101 times.

Neither #2 Baylor nor #4 Utah has ever been ranked #1. AP poll started in 1936.

#3 TCU's only two weeks at #1 were in 1938 (including the final poll that season). #5 Clemson also has only two weeks all-time at #1, and like TCU, both were in the season they were #1 in the final poll, 1981 for Clemson.

Florida State wins the Johnny-come-lately award among #1 teams; they are 6th all-time with 72 weeks at #1 even though they were never #1 before 1988.

Army, whose last appearance at #1 was in 1958, is still 14th all-time with 27 weeks at #1.
