Two epic post game interviews in a row for Swinney
First it was BYOG, then it was an epic rant on Clemsoning, sticking his foot so far in David Hale's hind quarters that Hale could taste the flavor of bubble gum on Swinney's shoe. Wonder what he'll do next week?

Swinney rocks. And I say that as one who was his most ardent critic.

Dabo has proven to be a real asset for Clemson and a true advocate for the league that Clemson is a part of.

And who wouldn't want to send their son to play for him? He's one of the good guys.

Yeah, I really like your coach. And his team is really feeling it now. Going to be interesting watching them the rest of the way. FFF material, for sure..

RE: Two epic post game interviews in a row for Swinney
I have a hard time disagreeing with Dabo here. One of the unfortunate consequences of all of these websites dedicated to various sports/conferences/teams and 24 hour sports networks that are dedicated to the same entities is that it creates a mythology that the good teams are incredible and the bad teams are awful.

That is almost always ridiculous. The truth is most of these teams are relatively comparable with some exceptions.

Then, when one of these "incredible teams" that is loaded with "teenage superheroes" plays slightly below it's typical level and one of these "awful teams" loaded with bums, plays slightly above it's typical standard and wins the game, naturally fans and media tend to overreact.

Clemson has a good team – there is no question about it. In fact, I think they have an excellent chance to reach the College Football Playoff. However, as Swinney himself said, they are human beings and there are no guarantees in life.

It is entirely possible that Clemson could lose to just about any team on it's remaining schedule and it would not necessarily constitute a choking of any sort. It just means they lost.

However, good luck getting all of these people who buy into all of these recruiting websites and channels dedicated to Clemson and which propagandized these people relentlessly to ever believe that.

In order for Clemson to truly shed the label, they are going to have to win it all.

You are probably right because both the news media and message board "experts" are lazy.

However Clemson's Football SID, Tim Bourret, isn't. Dabo said at his weekly press conference Tim Bourret told him that since the last time Clemson lost to an unranked opponent 50 different teams have lost to unranked teams a total of 112 times.

But it's a Clemson thing.

Clemsoning is an everybody thing. Whenever other schools do something stupid - in the vein that Clemson has made famous - they've also Clemsoned.

The problem is that you seem to think it's only considered Clemsoning when you lose to an unranked team. But you're wrong and you know you're wrong. The stage that brought Clemsoning into the mainstream was the Orange Bowl MASSACRE at the hands of West Virginia; a West Virginia team that was - drumroll, please - RANKED.

Then there was this WaPo headline last year after the FSU/Clemson bed-shatting by your school:

Quote:Against Florida State, Clemson’s ‘Clemsoning’ was the most ‘Clemsoning’ Clemson ever Clemsoned

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/earl...clemsoned/

But yes, do continue telling us that Clemson hasn't Clemsoned in years and years.

All but a handful of schools would love to be who Clemson is now.

Yet fans of lesser football schools are the first to bring "Clemsoning" up.

Jealously is an ugly thing.

Hale got exactly what he deserved.

Hale did get exactly what he deserved. He asked about "the word" after a Clemson blowout victory over a good team, completely unprofessional.

There aren't enough questions to ask about the game?

We've been through this but you are too stupid/hard-headed/much of a troll (take your pick) to remember.....losing to a ranked FSU is not "Clemsoning" by the original definition of the term.

Let's see, in that game, Clemson played the #1 team and defending national champion on the road with a true freshman at QB. Only an idiot would throw rocks at that loss. They had plenty of opportunities to win, but they just didn't.

As a comparison, Auburn lost to aTm last year and fumbled inside the 5 twice in the process. Same situation, but against a team that was unranked. Very little chatter about that game, though.

All that being said, the media is stupid for bringing up that term over last year's FSU game or even talking about it at all relative to recent history.

Ooh, dat weally hurwt my feewings... 03-weeping

"The original definition"? LMFAO. I gave you the exact game that brought Clemsoning into the mainstream - against a RANKED opponent, no less - and you complete ignore it.
