Ya, ya one week at a time, blah blah blah.

On November 3, it's going to be NIU (5-3, 3-1) at #20?? Toledo (7-0, 4-0) on national TV.

On November 1, 2011, it was NIU (5-3, 3-1) at Toledo (5-3, 4-0). We know what happened then.

Keep the faith.

It's amazing how much a win changes the dynamic and attitude of us fans. 24 hours ago people were popping Prozac and guessing we would lose to Ball State, now we jump ahead. Not ripping this post, because I think it's accurate, but just that feeling of optimism and a bit of excitement has come back

RE: Toledo
I still wouldn't call for a win against Toledo. Just because we smashed Ball State doesn't mean much.

I just hope that this game and the next two games get our team and offense the confidence they need to keep rolling. We will need to be at our best to beat Toledo. Even WMU, Buffalo, and Ohio will be tough matches for us. Still a long season with many good teams left on the schedule.

OK this has nothing to do with Ball State. We certainly don't look like world beaters. There's just no way that NIU or Toledo lose their next two games. 0-3 was always a realistic possibility for the road trip but no one wanted to admit and it would have been blasphemous to even suggest it.

WMU beating CMU was the best thing that happened yesterday. Win next two and sets up epic game against Toledo. MAC West still a shot.

Just remember, the pressure is really on Toledo. If they continue to win, they'll be ranked going into the game against NIU and they haven't been able to beat us in awhile.

After last year and the close one to EMU I'm not expecting an easy win for once against them.

I think we can put to bed the rumors Drew Hare is hurt after yesterday's performance. I asked a former Huskie player who was in the stands at yesterday's game what was going on with Drew Hare, and he said he had lost his confidence the last couple games and was struggling with the mental aspects of the game. 90% completion percentage and 350 yards, we saw the same Drew Hare we saw the first two games of the year.

If we can keep Drew Hare's confidence going the next two weeks, and the defense can get a pass rush on Toledo, no reason we can't be the one to spoil Toledo's undefeated season!

I don't think there is any question he was battling through a finger/thumb injury

Few interesting tidbits

The last time Toledo beat NIU:

- It was 2190 days ago
- Kings of Leon "Use Somebody" was number 1 on the top 40 music chart
- DJ Brown was in middle school
- Osama Bin Laden was still alive

Rivals ruin each other's seasons. Let's do that. To them.

RE: Toledo
*Even if your run defense is good, we will still have success on the ground. We go 4 deep at the tailback position with little drop off and the offensive line has continued to improve since week 1.

*Our receivers drop too many balls and this hindered our offense more than some of our fans want to admit. If this problem somehow gets resolved by November, you're in big trouble

*Toledo's run defense is very, very good. If you can somehow find success on the ground, your chances of winning greatly increase.

*Toledo's secondary has went from more than sh*tty last year to just sh*tty this year. Our number one corner is back and thank god. If I was your OC, I would pick on #5...(whoever he guards tends to get open)

I still think UMASS may beat us in 2 weeks. It's at their place, we may be too excited about being ranked and with you guys a week away....I'm worried

Nevertheless, should be a great game. If we are still ranked, the atmosphere will be electric...at least for the first half

Or about 189 million seconds since UT beat NIU last, our about .189 billion seconds
