Yep. Our team bent over and took it. No lube. Just sandpaper. I wasn't shocked that it'd be a relatively close game and the pt spread was too big for a rivalry game on the road... but man, to even have it come down to the wire, let alone lose -- that IMO, was worse than losing to Nicholls State. There, I said it.

We're getting ready for mid-week games starting later this month.

ESPN (and CBSSN) have some really, really good mid-week games.

This could be as good a season of mid-week games as I can remember... In part due to the strength in the MAC East with BG and Ohio joining Toledo, NIU, and WMU (and perhaps others) as legitimate contenders. E.g. BG and UT, BG and Ohio, etc. Though should be good ones...

WMU 27 @ Ohio 30 WMU has not been good on the road so far, and Ohio is perfect at home. From what I've seen, Ohio has shown significant improvement since last season.

EMU 24 @ #22 Toledo 48. EMU has a good offense, but they can't stop the run. That's a bad thing this week, and Toledo has the D to keep EMU in check.

Buffalo 27 @ CMU 38. CMU rebounds at home. It might be messy early (again), and it will probably be a close game, similar to last season in NY.

NIU 34 @ Miami 17. Miami is still rebuilding, while NIU's offense seems to be hitting its stride.

Ga. St. 23 @ Ball St. 38. Cards should cruise in this one.

Akron 31@ BGSU 41 Solid defense versus powerful offense, but also developing offense versus weak defense. Should be a good one!

Kent St. 17 @ UMass 24 Tough call on this one, but Kent's offense has been in its own way most of the season.
