(I'm not saying those guys would leave, just saying that GA has potential to be a monster) On Russilo and Kannell they're calling this a legitimate top 5 job. SEC East has been incredibly weak the last few years; Missouri has won the division the last few years.

I know you just said LSU is the best SEC job; what other SEC gigs are better than GA?

Well Florida, LSU, Bama, Auburn are the programs that have national champs over the last decade. UT is a great gig also.

Yes, but my question dealt more with the potential of the job, not the recent success.

My point is that Urban or Saban could have had at least the same level of success at GA as they have/had at Alabama/UF.

GA is right there with Florida and UT in the east, imho.

I'd agree with UF. I think the instate talent puts UF and UGA well above UT.

UT does not need a ton of instate talent. But GA and Florida has more instate for sure.
How would you like to be the Maryland AD. They have OSU, PSU, MSU and Michigan in their division. 04-jawdrop

Meh... the Maryland AD is happy. They are cashing the fat BTN network checks.

I don't know. What good is that if you never have a chance to win? Come sit in our stadium made of gold and watch us get the pi$$ beat out of us.

There is a percentage of schools in the P5 that are perfectly content with that. Indiana has won 2 B10 Ten Championships ever, one in the 40s and the last a co-championship in 1967. I was looking this up a few weeks ago when they upset Ohio State, noticed they have only beaten the Buckeyes 12 times in 97 meetings. Most of those wins were all Pre-WWII. Pathetic but it is how it works.

Money is good and BTN will continue to make more, but yeah football will struggle to get bowl eligible.

Not football, but Northwestern has never made the NCAA tourney.

RE: AAC action
Maryland probably happy cashing B10 checks but UA probably going to want results for the cash they pay.

Kevin Plank (UA CEO) and his family all grew up there and attended Maryland. They'd love some ROI but that is probably not a priority. He's a an alumnist and a fan.

Plank could care less about ROI. He is happy to be the big cheese booster at MD. Works this way at most major schools. They love being a part of the program.
