I am not trolling you or us. I am defending Tulane. Do you get it. I am in Philly for the Temple game. I expect Tulane to win or at least beat the point spread. Roll Wave!

As for the OP, big whoop. What are we supposed to do, cower our head in fear? Lost late to Temple and beat Houston last year, and we have everyone back. We root for our team.

I'm still waiting to hear savacool explain his claim about how Tulane easily beat Memphis last year. (See page one of this thread)

In Basketball.

Yeah that single digit win vs our worst team in 15 years was mighty impressive.

tulsa fans think they are good enough to still be in conference title conversation

all but maybe 1 will get said over the next few months

i dont know what navy fans think

and uconn, ucf, smu have all been knocked back to reality but all of which were just as delusion in the preseason..it wasnt long ago smu was a guaranteed bowl team and biggest turn around in college football, or ucf was the king of hill and ran the aac according to them, or uconn was winning a national chmapionship

I don't know what planet and/or reality you're living in, but no UCONN fan on this board was trafficking in 'delusion'. Your hatred of UCONN is duly noted, though.

example of delusion= i list uconn in a group of other teams but you then take it as an attack on uconn..

i call everyone in the conference delusional including my team and you take it as a personal attack on uconn????????

your delusions and over-sensitivity is duly noted

and were you on the board the first 2 weeks on the season?...uconn fans were definitely on some delusions that they were one of the better teams in the league..they were attacking anyone who listed them lower than 6 in the ranking threads, bragging about your elite defense and so on and so forth (some still do)

I was, and I saw no UCONN fan saying they were going to be one of the better teams in the conference. In fact if any such statements were made, it was most likely preceded by "if everything breaks our way, we'll...". Now if you can give me some examples that aren't the voices in your head, that would be appreciated.

The YOGWF forum imho has never been much of a sports forum in terms of any sort of analysis of team matchups, particular strengths or weaknesses, etc. It seems to function more as a generalized Tulane social-media outlet than anything else.

I'll just say this as respectful as possible......
You may not realize it, but your comments come across as if you are completely out of touch with reality. I'm not saying that you are out of touch, but almost everyone here would agree that your comments come across that way. You can accept my comments or ignore them, it won't affect me either way, but that's what most here think.

For your own credibility, listen to Dr Box.

Those comments are from someone in your age range.

UCONN posters said we have one of the best defenses in this conference. Given how horrible most defenses are in this league, I'd say it still holds true. 07-coffee3

Since we are talking delusional fans, I like how UC barely lost to Temple and Memphis and now all the remaining teams are counting UC game as a sure win.

You don't have the horses up front to deal with their "D" yet. They are a handful.

This is true. Either one of those game were a few plays away from being Bearcat wins. If ECU continues to improve, ECU/UC might be one of the best games of the year.

The Catholic 7 were already negotiating. Pitt, Syracuse, BC and West Vir already left. The model was unsustainable. It was football vs basketball and 4 of the biggest players already left. If the Catholic 7 really felt that way then why did they ALL vote yes.

My son goes to Syracuse and they still count Georgetown as their major rival. They are trying to get a rivalry with Duke, but it's just not the same.

Guess that was Tulane's fault also.

Get over it and stop leaning on that as a crutch. The Big East was dead. Without the CUSA defectors y'all would have never gotten your payout and would be CUSA light.

No argument. You guys have a model program. I wish we were able to sustain our program after Perry Clark. No argument. Cincy as well, great program as well as UCONN. Definitely hats off! SMU is on the way.
