Do you guys really think it's was 7,500? It was a great row but from what I saw there was maybe 4,000

I guessed more than 7,500 while at the event. Huge turnout!

Let's keep this momentum rolling into the season and pack out Bartow.

These types of events are very important to impress recruits. We need more reports as to which recruits attended the event. UAB needs to keep reeling in big time players in order to keep this thing going. I think the staff is doing a great job in this area but i wish we had a little more info as to how well they are doing with potential players ready to jump on board.

We should have a special season and we must capitalize in the form of high level recruiting. There is no reason we should not bump our status up to programs like VCU and Wichita State and even beyond.

Can anyone talk about the who the players were that came to this event? Not only do coaches have to work their butts off to get good players but the fan base needs to be a little crazy about showing these kids that UAB is the place to be. Recruits want to play in front of a packed house and want to play on TV. Us as fans need to do our part to bring the energy this year and get behind the team and then when recruits come and visit they can see that UAB is big time college basketball and we will go toe to toe with anybody in the country. In order to do that we have to keep getting top level players.

Seriously? Did someone question attendance? Can we just stop beating that dead horse please? Looked like an incredible crowd on TV. That is what a big time program looks like. Now let's cary over into the season and pack it out no matter who we play.

I went up onto the 3rd floor of Heritage Hall to take a few pics... the panoramic crowd shot is mine. What you can't really see are the three big, portable bleachers. All were at full capacity, which I would estimate at around 2,000 total capacity combined. Add the number of people that showed up early and left early, showed up late, etc & I wouldn't doubt we had around 7k.
