Huh? Hang almost 60 on someone and they looked deflated? I'll never figure you out. I think you may need medication. NIU played two of the toughest defenses in all of college football (BC may not be winning but still not giving up any TDs - none to anyone!), and then the Huskies get 6 fumbles from the QB, had a TE turn into a human false start machine to give a game away and the team is suddenly a bunch of snuffaluffaguses? Is the planet you live on highly populated?
Sorry, that was mean, but dude, really?

Defensively, the energy level did not seem to be there. I think being short-handed hurt them confidence-wise. But yes, offensively, just crazy production, the offensive line dominated too. A person would have to be insane and stupid to place money for or against the Huskies this year.

The team was flat in the first quarter. Of course, hard to get excited playing in an empty stadium with no crowd energy (fans were dead, too). They found their missing mojo in the second quarter and were off to the races.

The crowd lacked energy because the team lacked energy and played like crap. There was little to cheer about.

Edit-just read game thread and they were having problems. SF should make this a top priority to get that working.
Listened to the first half and watched the 2nd half. Did the crowd look decent in the 1st half? I know for the 1st 2 home games, they were having trouble with the tickets scanning correctly and I think they underestimated the crowds. Was this still occurring yesterday?

Yes, still problems with the scanning. It was never great. For some reason, this year the scanning has been atrocious. My whole group had to have their ticket stubs torn off for the second straight game.

My 6 season tickets scanned just fine this week.
The students showed up ok but the East side was noticeably less full than either of the first two games.
The West side seemed even worse but its hard for me to tell how full it is sitting on that side.
There was a recruit who was watching other games on ESPN3.com on their phones in the first half. I had never seen that before.
There was absolutely no energy (from 90% of the fans) before the game in The Yard either. I have to admit that my group did not add any but that was just because we brought grandpa to the game.
I hope that a win vs Miami and it being Homecoming will help bring out our biggest crowd of the year. Unfortunately I can only show up for the 1st quarter then I have to leave.

It was a very lethargic crowd on both sides.
Maybe the summer like weather? Maybe 3 losses in a row is a bit of a buzzkill?
West side crowd just looks like "swiss cheese" this year all spread out.
East side not as strong as 1st 2 games. Less students but still student attendance the least of our worries.

This. A downturn in form will result in a downturn in attendance for almost any team.

What happened to the usual field announcer? Is he day to day? The replacement was not too good.
