Bryson Pope is playing with the Caen Basket Calvados in France's NM1 league (I think this is their 3rd level, after ProA and ProB). Starting Small Forward. He has 10.9 ppg so far in 8 games, up from 5.9 ppg last year.

RE: Former KSU Basketball players in the Pros
Haminn Quaintance -

"Sitra Club (Premier League) added to their roster 31-year old American forward Haminn Quaintance (203-85, college: Kent State). He played last season at Hiroshima Dragonflies in Japanese B League D2. In 43 games he recorded 10.5ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.1apg and 1.2spg.

In 2009 (a year after he left the college) Quaintance was drafted by Reno Bighorns (D-League) in second round (26th overall). He attended Kent State until 2008 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Quaintance's team made it to the Bahrain Cup final in 2015. He was selected to Icelandic League All-Star Game back in 2013.

Quaintance is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Quaintance tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Australia (Frankston Blues), Finland (Kauhajoen Karhu), Germany (BBC Bayreuth), Israel (Bnei Hasharon, Hapoel Kfar Saba and Ironi Kiryat Ata), Morocco (IRT Tanger), Saudi Arabia (Al Qadisiya), Iceland (Skallagrimur), Bahrain (Al Najma) and D-League (Rio Grande Valley Vipers).

On Quaintance: A scorer who can play with his back to the basket, put the ball on the floor or face up and hit the mid-range jumper. A well-rounded and athletic forward who fills up the stat sheet: he scores, rebounds, gets assists, steals and blocked shots. He can guard several positions well and can defend out on the perimeter or in the paint. He was a dominant player in Israel in 2008-09 when he finished third in the league in rebounding (8.8 rpg). He lost a season to injury but came back and dominated in Australian SEABL in 2011 (19.3 ppg, 10.5 rpg). He is an unusually gifted passer for a frontcourt player and he is very unselfish. He can be deployed successfully in the high post or low post."

Chris Evans has been a starter for the D-League Canton Charge for the first 2 games. He had 11 points, 5 rebounds in 22 minutes in their first game. He had 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals in the second game. I don't see that Justin Manns is in the D-League this season.

Jay Youngblood...(1st team MAC as a senior at Kent State in 2006)...

Byblos Sporting Club (Pepsi LBL) confirmed in their roster 32-year old Lebanese international shooting guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent State). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Youngblood has played there for the last four seasons. In 22 Pepsi LBL games he had very impressive stats: 17.5ppg, 5.3rpg and 3.8apg last season. Youngblood helped them to win the Supercup.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Guard of the Year in 2013 and 2015.

Youngblood also represented Lebanon at the Asian Championships in Changsha-Hunan (China) last year. His stats at that event were 8 games: 17.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.1apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 54.9%, 3PT: 30.0%, FT: 53.2%.

Youngblood is quite experienced player. He has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Youngblood has played previously professionally in Austria (Redwell Gunners Oberwart, Furstenfeld Panthers and Kapfenberg Bulls), Poland (Swiecie), Lebanon (Anibal and Champville) and IBL (Cuyahoga FC).
He attended Kent State until 2006 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.

Youngblood could be described: Is a versatile player that can play at either of the wing positions, or can play at the four in Kent State's system ... Is a complete all-around player and a proven winner, having played in back-to-back junior college national championships ... Has the ability to create his own shot, rebound and finish.

RE: Former KSU Basketball players in the Pros
Went down to Canton to see Evans play tonight. The team they played had plenty of talent on the wing Jakar Sampson (spent the last two seasons in the NBA), Perry Jones (played 3 seasons in the NBA), and Wayne Seldon (double digit scorer for Kansas last year). If you took the names off the backs of their jersey's though, people would've thought Evans was the guy with NBA experience. He was the best player on the court tonight. Finished with 33 points, 12-20 from the floor, 4-7 from three, and 5-5 from the line. Added 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals, and only one turnover in 46 minutes. He went on a personal 8-0 run in the 4th quarter to get the Charge back into the game.

His game has really come a long way since he left Kent. Looks to have improved his handles a good amount. His first step looks to have come a long way too. He had no trouble getting a step on his defender on his drives. The biggest difference I noticed is he played above the rim on all his drives. One of the things I thought he struggled with in college was utilizing his jumping ability off the dribble. That's no longer an issue. He finished several layups through heavy contact where he got over the defender to avoid the block. From what I saw the biggest issue with his game looks to be defense. He wasn't bad on defense, but he didn't do a very good job contesting 3's and there were a couple times where his man beat him off the dribble. He did however recover and poke it away from behind almost every time he got beat, that might not translate well to the NBA though. At any rate, I was really impressed with what I saw from him. If he keeps playing like this he's going to force some NBA teams to take notice.

Randall Holt led the Dresden Titans with 16ppg in the German ProA League. Dresden didn't have a good season, finishing last, going 2-29. Holt, though, was 8th in scoring for the league.

Derek Jackson played with the Redwell Gunners Oberwart team in the Austria A League. 15.8 ppg. They're currently leading the standings at 26-4, and Jackson is 9th in ppg, 4th in apg, and 1st in steals per game for the league.

Before the season, there was this...

"Austrian champion Redwell Gunners Oberwart managed to keep point guard Derek Jackson (185-PG-91, college: Kent St., agency: Mansfield and Associates). After resigning ABL Finals MVP Chris McNealy Jackson is the second import player from the championship team to stay in Oberwart. Jackson played his first year as a pro last season having a rocky start at the beginning but improved throughout the season. He led the league in steals at 2.3 per game and posted averages of 12.6 ppg, 3.3 apg and 3.2 rpg. Jackson shot 41.7% FG, 31% from 3PT range and 82% from the line. He was selcted to play in the ABL All Star game and was voted Eurobasket All Austrian 2nd team as well as All Defensive team."

and a couple of months ago...
"25-year old point guard Derek Jackson (185-PG-91, agency: Mansfield and Associates) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Oberwart and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had the game-high 32 points adding two assists for Oberwart in his team's victory, helping them to beat Wels (#4, 10-8) 80-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Oberwart to consolidate first place in the Austrian league. Oberwart have a solid 15-3 record. In the team's last game Jackson had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. Chris Ortiz is playing in Cypress, for Michelin Etha Engomis Nicosia, in Division A. 12.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg. They're 4-16 for the season

"Michelin Etha Engomis Nicosia (Division A) agreed terms with 23-year old American (has also Puerto Rican passport) forward Christopher Ortiz (203-102kg-93). Ortiz just graduated from Kent State University (NCAA). He has played there for the last four years. In 32 games he had 7.8ppg and 5.5rpg last season.
As mentioned above Ortiz is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a pro.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the MAC Tournament Semifinals in 2013. Ortiz was also voted Latinbasket.com All-FIBA Americas U18 Championships Honorable Mention back in 2010 at his college time.

On Ortiz: Chris Ortiz is really athletic, and he is stronger and weighs more than he looks. He is a guy who brings some toughness to the defensive end. He brings a length and athleticism to the four spot. Chris is a shot-blocker. He is a rebounder. He finishes great in transition. He can shoot it."
