Knicks' Derek Fisher, Grizzlies' Matt Barnes in scuffle at L.A. party

Good for him; I can't stand Fisher.

Matt barnes will be suspended from more Grizzlies games than he plays in. This will be the first of many suspensions. You don't get away with beating up NBA coaches, no matter the circumstances.

I just hope he doesn't get other Grizzlies suspended coming in to back him up in his in-game altercations.

Can't stand Barnes...although, I'll pull for him as a Grizz.

Fisher is dating Barnes ex? Barnes goes to a party at his exes?

He played in 76 of the 82 games last year for the Clippers. Is he going to be suspended 43 games or more this year? Much more distractions for him in LA.

He is in the spotlight more there. Since coming to the Grizzlies, he seems to have stepped up his efforts to get into the spotlight. I hope I am wrong, but I think when all is said and done, he will be a cancer here.

Hollywood comes to Memphis. Barnes contract is only for this year. Let's see how he does. Very little risk. If you want to watch TMZ and get upset, well, go for it. I'm into winning hoops.

Beat up as in Fisher having a couple of scratches? They are both about the same age. Fisher is a little smaller but I would think he can hold his own. Getting Barnes out of LA may be a real good thing for him.

I heard Barnes wife on the radio talking about him when news came out that he was dating Rihanna. She said and seemed genuinely happy for him. I guess it doesn't go both ways. Fisher is a piece of work as well. He moved out of his apartment in NY without telling his wife and then filed for divorce. Now he's dating one of his friends ex-wives. Maybe he should focus more on coaching the Knicks.

The headlines are saying "attacked", "beat the **** out of" etc. whether he got hurt or not or if they are the same age, I'm sure players attacking coaches is something the NBA will want to discourage.

I can already tell that I'm going to like Barnes. So will his teammates

Things aren't going to go well for Barnes if he doesn't calm down and mature. One day he will step to the wrong person

It's the off season. They were at a party. It had zero to do with basketball. They were teammates and close friends.
Has zero to do with anyone being a coach.

Randolph was a legit All Star caliber PF in his prime when we traded for him. He was worth the risk. Barnes is a washed up wing player who occasionally hits threes and commits flagrant fouls at an alarming rate. The juice isn't worth the squeeze IMO.
