Personally, I'm hoping that Mobile-B'ham Amtrak service is restored, as it's being discussed. I would literally be able to walk to the Mobile station and walk to fball and bball games at Bartow and Uptown.

How many of you guys would be willing to pay an extra penny or two in gas taxes to pay for moving the interstate north? The state is broke and it's a modern miracle they scrounged the money for what they're doing as it is.

I for one, am not pissed off, I am elated at this news. Can't wait to move into the new digs and out of Legion Field forever. Let's do this!

I vote for more regressive taxes, such as sodas, cigarettes, <$4 six packs and Bammer foobaw merchandise.

It makes sense to do this, but I think a lot of people don't trust the government to not simply waste more money. I would also pay significantly more in property taxes to help fill some shortages.

That's why you always need a CM overseeing everything holding everyone accountable.
