What did it for Summers the last game was trying to change what he does best. BYU didn't really adjust. We should've just put the ball in the gut of Hairston in that veer we were running and keep gaining 3 yds until they had to crash a few to get him, then when they started doing that give Summers the run.

That hand-off to the RB is like the FB dive in the Triple Option, they have to respect that threat.

ECU wins with Summers. ECU loses with Kemp.

I was on the bandwagon after the SMU game, how could anyone not be?

But if you really watched the game with Summers in the other night you are full of it if you tell yourself Summers would've won that game. I think he still could've been brought in in certain situations during the second half but if he had kept playing we likely would've gotten our doors blown off.

When BYU shut down his ability to scramble he looked like he did his first outing against Florida. Running is awesome but you HAVE to be able to make reads and complete a pass to allow you the ability to run.

So did ECU win the BYU game? Did ECU win the Florida game? Would ECU have beaten VT if Kemp had stayed in the game?

Because ECU won the VT and SMU games after Summers came in.

I rest my case.

It's not as cut and dry as you would like to suggest. But there's no need in arguing because you obviously only view the situation subjectively.

I got no problem with Summers. I think he should play some too. I have a problem with people that never gave Kemp a chance even before he took a snap and to this day the few still can't give him any credit ever at all and even still say crap like he shouldn't be in D1. It's a joke.

I agree, I've followed your debates since the start and you've been fair to both Summers and Kemp. I agree with you that several ECU fans wrote Kemp off even before the season started, I think that's why I kind of pull for the kid because so many people are against him.

I just don't understand why we are still debating this, we're going to see both QB's play the rest of the year so regardless of what people personally think they just need to get used to it. It's almost as if some people are rooting for one or the other to fail just to say "I told you so".

Maybe if he played the whole game they would, can't really pin a loss on him regardless.

Just about, and vs the best team on our schedule.

He lead two quick scoring drives in a row he got TDs on just before he was pulled. Certainly possible.

It's pointless arguing with Marv and his stupid criteria anyway. Football is a team game where one player doesn't even play on the other half of their field and probably 40 players play every game. It's entirely possible to play one of the greatest games ever at your position and lose nearly every week.

Which is what you are doing as well. However, I agree with you that there is no need in arguing about it; because neither one of us control the outcome.

So winning games is a stupid criteria. Right.

I forgot that you are a stats numbnuts; which is why you had no idea that Temple was going to be good at basketball last year. I guess you dumb stats didn't support the notion that the best player usually predict an outcome.
