Grabbed lunch at Whole Foods at Poplar and Mendenhall today and ran into NY Times Best Selling Author Ace Atkins. Ace is the Author of the Quin Colson series and the new author of the Spencer Series of Robert B. Parker fame. He played DE at Auburn in the early 90's and we sat and talked football and his works. He then pointed outside and asked me if I knew who the tall, African-American gentleman sitting by himself was. He looked familiar but I couldn't place him. He proceeded to tell me it was Oprah's boyfriend, Steadman. Damned if it wasn't!!! Pretty cool lunch break.

Ace is a great guy, isn't he? He's written some damned fine works. Wicked City was extremely good, I've got a review I wrote for a now defunct mystery website sitting around somewhere.

I thought this was going to involve a real celebrity like jerry lawler or prince mongo.
