It's a garbage message board where you've only got 5 or so actual posters but they have multiple accounts and argue with each other while ridiculing any newbies.....hence the reason it's gone to garbage.

I have been on Eaglepost I think since 04 or something like that..I really liked the board..but I will have to agree with USM99, there are too many that argue on there constantly. There was only like 5 members that made any since and would post or reply something good..but a lot of them would make fun of most anything that was posted. Like I said there were some that I enjoyed, but some would be nothing but negative if we were to go 12-0 and win national championship. I enjoy everything but that..but I will have to say this seems to be a better site.

It's a decent board unless you lack a sense of humor or you are thin skinned.

I think it is undergoing an overhaul. It's a totally unregulated board. Anything goes. Anytime you have that much freedom things get a little wild and ridiculous. Not a bad place to spend a little while numbing your brain. Many times you will find out things there you won't find out anywhere else.

Like some smartass would give you hell for saying "since" instead of "sense". lol Jayesseagle. I agree 100%. I like the fact that the board is so open. But, some of the negativity just gets ridiculous. I just ignore those that are there just to argue. I simply never reply to them.

Probably the worst board I have ever been on.

Up2stuff, lol..year you are right! Dang autocorrect lol. Just to let you know, you..along with couple others..were the good ones on eaglepost lol. But yea, it was open..and that was good but like you said sometimes it got ridiculous . I usually ignored it but there was really one major one on there that could get under my skin..even though I shouldn't have let him....lol

What you didn't realize was that was the only reason he was on there. Ignoring him would've gotten under his skin. Oh well, you live and you learn.

If you're referring to the person I think you are, he must be one miserable guy. I almost feel sorry for him sometimes - and then I notice his avatar, and those feeling go away.

It was hacked and the owner is working to see what he can do to retrieve the data and accounts. There is a Facebook eagle post. The same five folks are on it and and quite a few old lurkers now posters. It is much tamer.

The system admin (guy named Richard- last name is Italian) is very complacent. He refused to apply any upgrades or patches to the server. When Memphis and Tulane finally patched their servers, we were like "dude, you'd better do something; it's now or never." He didn't, and they caught a massive virus.

I joined EP around the '03-'04 time frame as well. I liked it because at the time, I was pretty critical of Bower and the direction the program was heading. You couldn't saying anything on Eagle Talk (now the BGN forum) without getting totally slammed for your opinion. If I remember right there was quite a bit of censorship as well. Eagle Post allowed people to say what the wanted and speak their minds. There are a few extremists and the board gets a bad rap because of them. It's a shame because most of us have pretty sensible thoughts and opinions.

I hope the board gets a face lift and is relaunched soon. Nothing against BGN, but I'm just not going to pay a monthly fee to go to a message board.

People used to say that BGN was overly positive and EP was overly negative so if you go to both you could figure things out. Now it sounds like Lanny rules BGN with an iron fist and EP has let a small band of trolls ruin the experience. This is about the best thing USM fans have going now.
