He says wins for Temple against Penn St and Cincy are reputable

However, we beat BG and Cincy, "who aren't awful". Tough for these guys to give us a compliment.

Yeah, he's a little bit better to us farther down when talking about the AAC West and Paxton Lynch.

Quote:The team you should know about, but probably don't: The 'Murica West!

Yeah, that's right, there's an entire conference division you should be watching and it's not in the Power 5. It's the American Athletic Conference -- West (that's how it's officially listed). Are any of these six teams going to win the national championship? In case you didn't notice earlier, three of those remaining 20 undefeateds are in this division alone -- Memphis, Houston and the aforementioned Naval Academy. Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch, all 6-foot-7, 245 pounds of him, has NFL scouts starting to take their first trips to the Liberty Bowl, former Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman has Houston QB Greg Ward Jr. looking like Buckeyes' quarterbacks used to play (121 yards rushing and three TDs by halftime vs. Tulsa) and Navy hits its annual Notre Dame game 4-0. Even the division's worst team, SMU, is suddenly entertaining to watch, thanks to new head coach Chad Morris. Between these teams and fellow unbeaten Temple over in the American East, the race for the Gang of Five's big-stage bowl berth feels likely to be no more complicated than this conference's title chase.

Below are the remaining schedules. Temple has the easiest. We have by far the hardest playing Temple, Navy and Houston. Navy and Houston play each other along with playing Memphis but don't play Temple. They get USF and UCF instead.

AAC East:
Temple (4-0, 1-0):
Tulane, UCF, at ECU, Notre Dame, at SMU, at South Florida, Memphis, UConn

AAC West:

Navy (4-0, 2-0):
at Notre Dame, Tulane, USF, at Memphis, SMU, at Tulsa, at Houston, Army

Memphis (5-0, 2-0)
at South Florida, Ole Miss, at Tulsa, Tulane, Navy, at Houston, at Temple, SMU

Houston (4-0, 1-0):
SMU, at Tulane, at UCF, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Memphis, at UConn, Navy

It is going to be a dog fight the rest of the way. ECU might beat Temple at home but I wouldn't put money on it.

I think depth is going to play a big role. As the season goes on and players on each team get banged up, who has the best 2's and 3's to keep on winning.
