Buffalo would probably do better in a P5 because it would give players a reason to go there. They could move games into the NFL stadium if they wanted.

The MAC is rated the #7 football conference this year ahead of the MWC, CUSA and SBC. This is the first time the MAC has been rated ahead of the MWC in the 15 years that conference has been around. MAC fans did see it coming that it would pass CUSA but few expected passing the MWC.

In basketball the MAC had already soared past CUSA/SBC and nudged ahead of the MWC last season for a #10 rating. The new TV deals in basketball is going to boost recruiting for member schools.

I like the direction things are headed for the MAC. By the end of the decade it should be firmly entrenched ahead of CUSA/SBC in the two main sports.
