What schools send the most students to UC?
There is an article in the Business Courier about the Cincinnati/Dayton area schools that send the most students to tosu.

Edit: I didn't list Dayton schools...

Mason was #1 in the state with 100 sent.
st x was #3
Kings was #15
Sycamore #20
Lakota East #25 (tie)
Ursuline #25 with 31 sent

I would be interested in knowing the same for U C.

Anyone know if the info is available?

Dr. Ono posted the schools for 2015 earlier this year and it looked to be much of the same as last year. I am willing to bet Mason, the Lakatos and St. X are near the top for feeder schools for Miami, XU and other area schools as well.

I'm a St. X grad from nearly 25 years ago. I forget the exact numbers, but when I graduated (albeit with a slightly smaller class than what they graduate today), 60 in my class of 300 went to Miami, 42 (?) to UC, and something like 13 to Ohio State. I received my alumni magazine a few weeks ago, where they broke down where students go. More than 80 are going to Ohio State, in the low 60s to UC, and in the mid-40s to Miami. Xavier has remained steady. I believe was in the 20s when I went there, and the same last year.

A few things are at play. Ohio State and UC have each improved dramatically, and it's good to see students from my alma mater choosing them (especially over Miami). Miami still gets a fair number, but their percentage is way down (considering X had close to 400 grads last year). It's also interesting to note that my graduating class attending something like 80 colleges. That number is now closer to 50. Economics is probably at play there, because many of those 80 colleges were privates. An education at good public schools like Ohio State and UC is becoming a better option for many relatively high-achieving high school students.

The most obvious thing is that all 10 are area schools.

I wonder what % of freshman tosu and U C "freshpeople" are foreign students?

I was curious as well. 72% of all Ohio State students are in-state. At UC, it's 79%. Ohio State has 10.5% foreign students. UC has 7.5%.

For the geek in you, numbers are generally reported by Institutional Research (it's called different things at different colleges). UC's detailed numbers are here.

5. Elder (66)
6. Colerain (65)
7. St. Xavier (59)
8. Fairfield (58)
9. Centerville (54)
10. Lakota East (52)
(tie) Sycamore (52)

Top Out of State Feeder Schools
1. Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY)
2. East Central High School (Brookville, IN)
3. Coving Catholic (Park Hills, KY)
4. Notre Dame (Park Hills, KY)
5. Ryle (Union, KY
6. Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IN)*
7. Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY)
8. DuPont Manual Magnet School (Louisville, KY)
9. Campbell County (Alexandria, KY)
10. Lafayette Senior High School (Lexington, KY)
11. Sacred Heart Academy (Louisville, KY)

* Is this supposed to be Lawrenceburg? I know there is a small town in Dearborn County named Lawrenceville, but I don't know if they have a high school.
