BYU has some plenty amazing schedules in the upcoming years that reminds me of Notre Dame's schedules with their national spread and varied opponents.

One perks of having independents: diverse schedules.

I was at the 2012 ND/BYU game in South Bend.

The BYU fans were all great. I had no problems with any of them.

I wish ND and BYU played every year.

I'm not shocked, I don't think they can even drink caffeine. It's not like many of them are getting liquored up in the parking lot 4 hours before kickoff like most every other school. Clearly that's where a lot of stadium behavior comes from so stands to reason it should be a nice experience but a bunch of teetotalers.

Been to several games with BYU as the opponent both regular season and a bowl game. I never saw any BYU fans tailgating. Not once. Now Utah fans....oh yeah, they party. Cheers!

I did when they played Texas. Now they didnt hit it as hard as others do but there were people in BYU attire drinking.

I feel bad for them in that they are 1/2 in their state and got passed over. That's got to sting. They did what they felt best for the school as a whole and seem to be doing well.

The most surprising thing to me is their ratings. They are comparable with the AAC/MWC platform to platform...more for games against power conference teams and less against nonpower teams. They've got a good thing going with the number of ESPN and ESPN2 guarantees, but overall, the numbers are more G5like than P5like...which quite frankly surprises me.

I don't really see how BYU joining the AAC + scheduling 4 P5 schools OOC really changes what they have now. It adds the opportunity for the Access Bowl as well.

Just posted some questions on their board. Seem like respectable and knowledgeable fans for the most part.

Those were pretty good responses. I am worried about missing 2 of our CB's for this game with those big receivers but most of their fans admitted that being physical on the line with their receivers appears to affect them. We are moving Fulp to corner for this game who is 6'4 so hopefully he can help there.

They also seem to think they will do better against a pocket passing QB to pick on their secondary as opposed to a mobile QB so it will be interesting to see who we start for this game (my money is on Summers).
