Celebrate wins after they happen. We are in Unchartered territory and will face the best overall team we have seen since we played them last year. We can absolutely win but I'm not knocking any achievements or rankings they have received. We need to let our play on the field do our talking.

nobody on this board is going to be on the field for the game

The field is not unchartered.

Our performance on the field is. CJF talks about handling adversity is easier than handling success never before experienced.

True dat. He is correct. One must be strong for success, or the expectation of failure (based on the past experiences) will influence the future.

I'm just looking at the word unchartered vs uncharted and considering its worth. :D I like both actually.

Ah yes the Ole miss signature redneck move. Just as UTk students buttchug, ole miss throws whiskey bottles when they lose or are angry.

RE: Ole Miss Overrated!!!!
OM may have been overrated, maybe not #3, but probably a top #10 on any given day. They have a lot of talent. We have faced no one this year like Nkimniche or the speed of their other defenders, nor the skill & speed of their skill players on offense. This will be a very tough fight. UF probably not that much better than OM on most days, same for AL over UGA, but on any given day, teams at this level, like OM, can dominate. But we can dominate too if everything falls right.

We'll still be dogs, but if we compete, don't make mistakes, we should be in a position to win unless it's a AL vs UGA or UF vs OM type game that doesn't really reflect the strength of both schools. And it could be a situation where we do everything right & OM can't get out of their way, much like Cincy last year. Let's play the game & see where we stand. Go Tigers!

Cincy is probably as talented as the webels offensively. The Bcats have tons of weapons. I agree their defense is a different level than we've faced.

We will have to play our best game and Ole Miss will have to stumble for us to win. Their speed at Dline and WR will be the difference.

RE: Ole Miss Overrated!!!!
I prefer to think Ole Miss is not overrated and had a sloppy win over Vandy and just laid an egg against Florida. We need them to be good the rest of the season...after we beat them, of course. They can still win the SEC West and play in the SEC Championship game which would make our resume even stronger.

I hope we don't play that ultra conservative crap like last year down in Oxpatch. That was so disappointing. Who cares about the margin of defeat...a loss is a loss. Open it up and let's do this thing.

They're missing two of their best players right now (Tunsil and Conner). With those two, they are easily top 10. Hopefully, they'll still be out when we play them.

It wasn't about the margin of defeat, it was about having a chance to win. I'd rather be down by 7 in the 4th quarter and have a chance to win than down by 24. That said, if we happen to be under consideration for an access bowl, score margins might actually be important.

If OM wins its on talent only. We have the better QB, Coach and kicking game. How well or defense plays will decide the game.

Time to get out the picture I took last year. The UofM sunglasses are full price, but the Ole Miss ones were on clearance (because they were overrated.)

This was at the Olive Branch Target last year.

IT will be very difficult for the Tigers to win this game. Just keep it close.

Houston looked very good beating Tulsa. Their quarterback is very good. Not sure we can beat them.
