Well Houston was a better team than Memphis last year, so...

They were when they played us. Most reasonable Memphis fans will admit this. It wasn't a fluke, neither was our win this year against UC.

I don't think it was a fluke. Memphis slaughtered us in the first game and did what it needed to do to win the second. But it's pretty uneducated to say scoreboard is the ultimate measure of the better team. 12 game streak is great, but it's not like Memphis has really played anyone during that stretch. The coming weeks will tell us a lot. There's a real possibility they go 2-3 over their next 5 games. But if they go 5-0, I don't think anyone will deny they're the real deal.

We've gotten lucky against Cincinnati a whole lot.
Memphis is better. Come to grips with that. You'll feel better.

Really? The national rankings point to 5 Top 25 finishes the past 8 years for Cincy. Hell...during that span Cincy spent more weeks ranked in the Top 10...then Memphis has spent in the Top 25 their whole history. You really need to come to terms. Just like in hoops... Only by being paired up again in the AAC...is Memphis in any way considered to be in Cincy's league. 03-wink

We aren't talking about the past 8 years. We're talking about right now. RIGHT NOW Cincy is 0-2 in the past two years vs Memphis. RIGHT NOW MEMPHIS, not UC, is on a twelve game win streak. RIGHT NOW Memphis has the more recent top 25 appearance and is currently getting more top 25 votes than Cincy.

Congrats on 6 years ago. RIGHT NOW Memphis is better and has proven it on the field.

Going by scoreboard, last year Houston was better than Memphis and UC was better than Houston, so...

Going by scoreboard, last season Memphis stomped a mudhole in Cincy and even let up to not make it worse. Memphis has put up nearly 100 points on the Bearcats in the last two seasons.

Wow, never seen such sore losers as these Bearcats. Hope they don't drone on all year like this.

Yep.....apparently we haven't played anyone during our win streak....should we remind them that THEY are part of the streak?

Our quarterback takes a nasty, potentially career ending blow and your fans tell us our players need to learn how to take big boy hits. Your team gets its first 10 win season and its first top 25 ranking in the final poll and your fans rub it in everyone's face like you went undefeated and won a national championship. Sore losers? No. We've lost plenty of games. We'll lose plenty more, and we won't hate the fan base on the other side. Do you see us responding like this to Temple fans? Nope. Know why? Unlike a big chunk of your fan base, they have the capacity to act like they've been there before.

UC has had a mediocre team the last two years. With your wealth of football knowledge I thought you would have figured that out.

LMAO! That would be TWO! TWO weeks in the top 25 in 100 years of Memphis football. Call us impressed. We'll call it what it really is. Not EVEN a flash in the pan. More like a grease spot. Regardless of what ever wins you want to point to...Cincy is the better team

We reacted like this because a bunch of UC and UCF fans went out of their way to remind us to know our place and that we were just a fluke. MOST of our fans expressed genuine concern for your QB. MOST of our fans complimented UC on a good game and raved about Moore as a QB. MOST UC fans are saying that Memphis is just lucky, UC is clearly the superior program and one Fuente leaves we'll be a dumpster fire again.

You might want to watch that glass house you're in and notice that your fans talk a TON of smack towards Memphis.

You might also want to take notice of the fact that the ONLY reason we're having this conversation is because a Bearcat fan ran his suck on here about Memphis only winning due to bad calls.
