Are we still supposed to "calm the f*** down?"
But really, I don't want to hear excuses about the weather being a factor for this game. Its f***ing football. Its frequently played outside in some of the coldest, most miserable and windy/wet conditions. Suck it up. If all it takes is a little rain to derail NIU, then we might as well hang it up for the whole season.

Ryan Graham. Give me a break, I know Hare was sucking nuts, but you have to keep him in at that point in the game. No way the newbie is just going to walk out there with his chest puffed out and b*tch slap CMU. Instead, you hand them 7 easy points and further deflate the teams morale.

Maxwell. Are the coaches hoping that if they let him keep repeating the same mistakes, eventually he'll just figure out what he's doing wrong and stop on his own?

The fact that false start penalties are STILL a factor 5 games in says something about the coaches inability to get in the heads of the players and really get them to focus and be disciplined. 8-69 yards, CMU had ONE penalty.

Are our receivers really not good, or is this just an illusion caused by an atrocious O-line and mediocre QB?

NIU lost to CMU at the start of MAC play last year too, so hopefully this lights a fire under their butts (the coaches too).

No, its all Hare's fault. It has to be. This coaching staff is 25-9 so they must be good.

When your offensive line continues to make the same penalties game after game. Maxwell keeps getting penalties yet they keep leaving him on the field. Then you put a D2 talent freshman QB on the field. The constant fake jet sweeps call which aren't doing anything. All coaching right there. Outside of Neimann, this coaching staff has been exposed. They could never win a big game after three years. Unless this team magically comes together and rebounds I would get rid of all of them except Neimann.

No, I want you to get as mad as you POSSIBLY can, and yell and throw things...hopefully video tape it. Then grab some dinner and go to bed.

Sound better?

They can clean more people out than that.
But the "calm the f*** down" crowd probably thinks we can't complain about Carey either.

You can't complain about Carey because he loves his wife

Agree with you.
However until NIU offers market coaching salaries, can we realistically complain?

the same people who thought we would outright dominate the MAC year in/year out with little to no adversity are the same who who had our ticket punched to the Big 12. college football is cyclical. it happes. yes I would suggest you "Calm the f*** down"

Beating 3 B1G teams, and a MAC title are not big games?
True we have lost many Big games.
They have still proven to be good $ value for NIU FB.
Last year after the CMU loss they staged a great turnaround leading to an improbable MACC. You cannot count them out yet as frustrating as this year has been so far.
The MAC has recently fired 11 coaches. Coach Carey is not about to become the twelve fired coach. A rational calm, wait and see approach is required from the NIU FB fan base.

After yesterday and seeing what we have as the back-ups, you gotta think Tommy Mister is going to get a look at QB next spring.

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened had Root stuck around. That said, I hope that Drew Hare fights through this and has a great finish to this season and a great senior year.

Perhaps but I am hoping Drew Hare and the NIU offense returns to form for this year and Hare keeps it up as a senior next year!

As am I. Has a good arm and think he's a smart player. I think he will redeem himself.

We were screaming for Maddie at this point last year...let's hope he does turn it around this year. Certainly Hare and the coaching staff figuring it out is the only chance to turn this into a good year. There aren't any magic answers out there for this year.
