UD is going for the game winning field goal with 4 seconds remaining.

RE: Other Games - 10/3
UR looked good against Maine today, but I feel like Maine has a lethargic offense and isn't that good. WM loses to UD, who lost to VU, who is without their star QB. UNH is also without their starting QB.

I don't know what to make out of the UR/WM/UD/VU combo to end the season, but it looks like ours to lose.

I didn't think either W&M or del looked good at all. I really think the CAA has been schizophrenic this year but no one has shown me they are at our level. I don't see anyone stopping us in the reg season.

They led by 2 TDs in the fourth but let them come back. A questionable PI call helped UK on their last TD drive apparently.

RE: Other Games - 10/3
UNH beat up on Elon. For some odd reason the game was on here in Denver. Elon was never really in it, so it's hard to say what that means for how good UNH is or how well they'll travel.

As an aside, UNH is building a new stadium building that will house suites and boxes for media and staff. Currently, the building atop their home grandstand houses room for media, but their coaches have to go into a building behind it, go up a ladder, and cross a catwalk to get into a room where they can open a window and look at the field. From what the broadcast crew was saying, only staff that has to will make the trip on a regular basis. I point this out both because of disparity in CAA facilities but also because with that new building done their recruiting is likely to improve.

The chickens trimmed Waste Management on a last second field goal. Delaware and WM appear to be the stiffest competition we will face until the playoffs.

I think Richmond will be a tough game, they have two excellent receivers. And as someone said earlier, I hope we beat Delaware because it has been awhile.

The CAA is JMUs for the taking. What is concerning to me is the out of conference losses this year. The CAA is losing its dominance as a league.

This is why I keep preaching to cut out these cupcake OOC games. Every season we have at least two if not 3 or 4 in conference cupcakes, we don't need to add to it. We don't know who they will always be, but they are always there. We've played two conference cupcakes already and haven't even played Elon or Towson.

This idea of scheduling our way into the playoffs is ridiculous. We now have Morehead and CCSU next year and then we start a series with Norfolk State. Our AD should really be proud of his efforts. My 14 year old daughter could have nailed down those agreements. She could have used it as a class project.

The CAA does not prepare teams for NC runs like it used to do in the 2000s. I hope the team can rise above the competition when the playoffs come our way. We are likely to face Liberty once again IMO. Not an easy game, just ask the Griz.

This statement I agree with

. We've played two conference cupcakes already and haven't even played Elon or Towson.

This one I don't. JMU had its cupcake the first game, Lehigh however you would like to look at them is not a cupcake nor is Albany or StonyBrook. While they are not top notch FCS they are good teams that helped us prepare for SMU, and what is coming up later in the season.
I think the schedule is a good one because we got to tune up for CAA play and SMU. now we get a couple weeks to reshuffle and tune up for
Richmond, W&M, Deleware and Villy. The cards are falling just right for us so far. I do think we will make a run on the CAA this year and then face some really good teams in the playoffs. AT HOME!!!!!!!!
