I dare say from top to bottom with the exception of the SEC and maybe the Big Ten, the AAC is the best conference in the country right now. No doubt this is a high P6 league.

Mike has done a great job securing AAC television exposure and coverage in football and basketball. Most if not all conference games are broadcast in these two sports. Tier 1 ESPN ( not please Computer ESPN 3 ) Tier 2 CBS Sports Tier 3 American Network. Also CBS Sports will broadcast ten AAC baseball games this coming season. I hope that he can in time increase baseball to thirty AAC games per year.. Our only major problem ESPN is not paying the AAC anywhere near the top 5 conferences.

Why not? We have proven we can hang with the ACC, we can also hang with most other conferences as well. We know we are not even in the same universe as the lesser G4 conferences. If the media and powers that be labeled us "worthy" I promise you we would be a top three conference with several ranked teams. This conference has some of the best football teams in the country right now. I don't think anybody can argue that.

If they ESPN doesn't pay contract renewal time someone else will. Sports property is beachfront property it's live TV, which means no DVRing, advertisers love it. AAC is proving its value and i believe when time comes will justly be compensated by a suitor, who see that value.

Boise and BYU would put us in some great conversations.

The exposure was the only way to go. The difference in money didn't remotely make up for losing all of those eyeballs and giving the Narrative Machine of All Sports a reason to never pay attention to us again. That the TV coverage and ESPN3 stuff has worked so well is a relief and a bonus.

That would really end the argument on who has the best G5 conference. And it might advance the argument that the AAC belongs with the big boys.

It's better to be with the devil you know...

As much as I don't watch ESPN's "other" programming and P5 fluffing I'd MUCH rather be on there for live games. The exposure has been totally worth it. All the more reason to schedule tough P5's. Get them on and you're practically guaranteed to be on ESPN2 at least. Also it's really nice to have access to archived games on Watch ESPN online.

Boise and BYU joining in the long run would be better for all involved as long as we all stayed together.

Boise can rot in the mountains as far as I'm concerned. BYU and Air Force football only would be nice.

Heck IMO, BYU can join Boise in those mountains. Colorado State or Air Force and San Diego St would be my choices

Tulane has proven nothing and is riding on the coat tails of others. Tulane has contributed very little to the AAC thus far.

Except being 1-0 in conference and beating UCF and beating ECU our first year and out drawing your baseball and dominating your Olympic sports and giving the co conference the most academic awards. Yea dumb@ss. Satellite campus dude.

This would be ideal IMO. Gonna have to come up with a lot of cash to get BYU on board and I have a feeling BSU likes its current scheduling. Any two... AF, CSU , SDSU or UNLV would be OK with me. UNLV would be great road trip for everyone.

Like I said, Tulane has done nothing to make this league better in its perception or in its sports. You can get angry all you want, but it does not change the perception of Tulane's athletic dept.

Imo, it was a mistake to add the program. By the way, ECU was recently picked as the best value in the South East, beating out schools like USA and South Carolina. I guess these are satellite campuses as well dude.

RE: Thank god for Mike Aresco
this is kinda on the same topic on exposure and i dont feel like making a new thread for it...

but i noticed this morning that the houston highlight with stats and storyline/players and an autoplay video was suggested to me on social media by their adverising

looks like the aac is doubling down on exposure...looks like we are spending more to market our games, players and highlights to further expose what we are doing

normally the aac highlight on facebook get 300-700 views total without the marketting.. they have 20k-40k overnight since yesterday

i really like the how the league is handling everything....build us up as much as possible before renegotiation
