Toledo. If self-interest weren't involved, I'd probably say Houston, but since Ole Miss and Houston are recruiting a couple of the same players, I'm pulling for the MAC contender.

If ECU can't pull off a miraculous turnaround it's NAVY 100%!

Temple and Navy. They're rivals for Rutgers, but I'd just like to see Temple, our brothers in downtrodden-ness (I'm creating a word here) do it. Navy, well its a service academy and it would be exciting.

I won't play the conference game of hoping similar institutions achieve success.

That looks like where its heading with Houston, Navy, Memphis and Temple all undefeated. East Carolina and Cincinnati pulled out nice wins this week.

If any of these schools can pull off a ranked win it would put them at the top of the list.

Boise State has a good chance of finishing 12-1 with two P5 wins under its belt. There is no way an AAC champ finishing 11-2 without a ranked win will be able to beat that. If Memphis doesn't beat Ole Miss they will have only 1 P5 win and the same with Temple if they lose to Notre Dame.

If a couple of teams in the AAC could get ranked and Houston could beat a ranked Memphis team that would elevate Houston greatly in the conversation.

Any AAC school. It's clearly the best G5 conference this year.

Toledo has the best wins so far, which is going to make them tough to beat out, if they remain unbeaten.

For now. Their resume can't get any better though. When compared to a potential AAC Champ...

Toledo - @ Arkansas, Iowa State

Memphis - Kansas, Ole Miss (still to play)

Houston - @ Louisville, Vanderbilt (still to play)

Navy - @ Notre Dame (still to play)

Temple - Penn State, Notre Dame (still to play)

Iowa State isn't any good. Memphis and Temples wins over Cincy are more impressive.

Yep.

Vanderbilt is only 2-3. Houston could/should win that game but it doesn't do much for Houston's profile.

Notre Dame I think looks vulnerable to a loss to the AAC. I don't think they'll get past Clemson this week based on where the score is today. Will they be ranked when they face Temple or Navy? That is a question at this point.

Ole Miss should take care of Memphis but Memphis does have a shot in this one.

Iowa State and Arkansas both won today.

Iowa State 38-13 over Kansas which was Memphis's big P5 win.

I would have thought you'd be promoting Temple's win over State Penn, instead of the Cincinnati win. IMO the P5 win carries more weight.

But Memphis win over Kansas is nothing to promote. Everybody is going to beat Kansas this year, unless a bunch of miracles occur in one game for the Jayhawks.
