But really, don't you really hate us because we keep kicking your butts? The two calls this week according to the new targeting rules were legit. Not dirty but legit calls according to the rules.

Gunner's last second, poorly executed slide as a running back not a QB was not.

You know targeting is a recent addition to the officiating handbook. Almost every game gets a targeting call. It's a good rule that needs some tweaking. There should be some differentiation between an in action head contact like most are and the intention to do harm which are very few. The first should be a personal foul like a late hit. The second should be disqualification that is in the current rule.

Football is an aggressive full-contact sport that by nature is collision-based. You guys used to play that game well and we did not. Be upset with Tubberville for letting you slide and playing an injured player. And don't make remind you of your rep when Huggy was your basketball coach. You have a short memory.

I'll go away now because I know reason is not on your agenda. You guys are still ok in my book and it looks like we will go hand-in-hand to the B12. Long live the rivalry and good luck the rest of the season.
