KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan hockey team and head coach Andy Murray have named its captains for the 2015-16 season with Sheldon Dries serving as the captain with and five others as assistants.

Dries is named captain for the second-straight season and joins Ian Slater and Dana Lattery as the lone Broncos that have served as captains during their sophomore and junior seasons.

Dries will be joined by five assistants: senior goalie Lukas Hafner, junior forwards Aaron Hadley and Mike McKee, junior defenseman Chris Dienes, and sophomore defenseman Scott Moldenhauer. All five will wear letters for the first time in their college careers.

To me, it seems to dilute the leadership. But who knows. Hope it works out.
