#25 Memphis
#24 Washington University in St. Louis.
That is the first time in my life I've seen my alma mater and my team in the same rankings, next to each other, for ANYTHING (academic or athletic) in my entire life.

Not many universities offer Doctorates in Business. There is little or no demand for DBA's. Making this list is meaningless. Not noteworthy at all. Now if an MBA program is top 25, that is especially meaningful.

Apparently someone is sensitive to facts and reality. May I recommend some decaf?

It was a pretty crappy thing to say.
Although, I even question the usefulness of a MBA. They've become so widespread, it basically feels like you're buying some pedigree you think is going to help you. I've avoided it altogether...
Then again, you going turn around and make your case for doctoral programs in nearly every field. There isn't a lot of demand for Ph.D.'s in many fields outside of R&D roles...so does that mean rating them is pointless too?

It is noteworthy that UConn, UCF, and Memphis join a roster of schools with high academic profiles that offer DBA's. It is also notable that a certain school in the AAC is conspicuous in their absence on the list.

Is it possible for anybody to post ANYTHING positive here about Memphis, without somebody figuring out an angle to criticize it?

In cities where large corporations are headquartered, EMBAs have become valuable to universities, managers/junior execs, and corporations because they are specific to actual needs of today's environment. Most execs will confidentially advise that an MBA without work experience is tough to value in the business environment...as will most MBA grads after a decade of actual experience.
The bearcat speaks from a sterile academic perspective. We all know that being rated in the above group of universities s never meaningless, it's just his chance to get a shot in.
