124.7 Billion just in 2014 alone. No wonder Our Government spending is out of control ! and to think they want to raise the spending ceiling again. Amazing.

We put these same people in charge of our health care. These same people also dictate foreign policy.

Let that sink in a minute.

Cut out the fraud and wasteful spending and this country damn well might erase that national debt.

Possibly.

Or more likely a case where there are so many levels of bureaucracy that the problem is on the government's side because the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

The company I work for deals with fire and rescue equipment. I can't even begin to count the number of times these agencies try to pay bills multiple times, especially on expendable items like foam that they order several times a year.

Sometimes I'm sure. The real problem though, is they make the payments in the first place and don't realize until much later that they overpaid - if they figure it out all. Just way, way too big to run with any efficiency what so ever.

Another issue is they probably just don't care. If compensation was tied to accuracy then all that overbilling would decrease.
